EVENT SPONSORSHIP CONNECTS YOUR ORGANIZATION TO LEADERS WHO WORK TIRELESSLY TO CREATE A BETTER WORLD FOR EVERYONE.
The Hubert H. Humphrey Public Leadership Awards are presented at an annual dinner, which is the Humphrey School’s signature fundraising event—not to mention one of the Twin Cities’ most esteemed social gatherings. During the past 13 years, we have honored more than 50 award recipients and raised more than $1 million for student scholarships.

the life and legacy of former Vice President Walter F. Mondale
and recognize individuals and organizations for their work on
issues that have characterized his career: access to justice, civil and
human rights, and government accountability. Attendees included
U.S. Senators Al Franken and Amy Klobuchar, Congressman Tom
Emmer, members of the Humphrey School Dean’s Advisory Council,
University of Minnesota President Eric Kaler, and leadership from top
Minnesota corporations and nonprofit organizations.

RECENT HUMPHREY PUBLIC LEADERS FELLOWS
EMILY MUELLER is seeking a Master of
Public Policy. She is passionate about
finding creative and community-based
solutions in affordable housing, land use,
and youth programing.
“Without the generosity of this
fellowship, I would not have been able to pursue graduate
studies. Benefiting so greatly from such an experience reminds
me daily to reflect on my own role, both now and in the future,
in also helping to support and create opportunities within my
own communities. I am forever indebted to those who have
contributed to my fellowship—thank you!”
ANGELICA KLEBSCH has worked in
economic and community development
with the City of Brooklyn Park since
completing her Master of Public Policy
coursework in 2015. She shared her story
at last year’s awards dinner.
“I’m able to network like a pro, trust my own research, and
sit comfortably at the table with legislators, presidents of
organizations, and even with an actual former U.S. Vice
President. My experience at Humphrey has been transformative
in the purest sense of the word, from the way I approach a
problem to the very way I carry myself. I grew wings here.”
Since the Humphrey Public Leadership Awards were
established in honor of the School’s namesake,
Hubert H. Humphrey, these annual events have
raised more than $1 million for student scholarships.
That means more students have gone into careers
promoting the common good without the burden
of student loans, and more students have attained
a master’s degree that would otherwise have been
financially out of reach.
Your support helps make the Humphrey
School and the world of public policy more
representative and diverse.
Thank you!
YOUR SPONSORSHIP SHOWS COMMITMENT TO THE EDUCATION OF FUTURE POLICY LEADERS IN MINNESOTA, THE COUNTRY, AND THE WORLD.
