Alzheimer’s disease and Dementia has been distinguished as a worldwide wellbeing need, as the developing burden of the disease will challenge the present medicinal services frameworks and healthcare systems. Subsequently, the disease mechanisms, prevention, early diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease have been under intense research. Alzheimer’s Summit 2018 gives an outstanding forum to meet and learn from highly respected top-level speakers, who will spotlight the up-to-date and significant advances in research fields of Neuroscience, Neurology, Alzheimer’s disease, Dementia, Gerontology and other neurodegenerative diseases. Alzheimer’s Summit 2018 is an excellent opportunity for the attendees to collaborate, network and exchange innovative ideas for future Alzheimer’s-Dementia disease and other neurodegenerative diseases research, biomarkers, treatment and prevention.

We are glad to display our exciting scientific program, which features new and inspiring research findings related to new insights into Neuroscience and Neurology departments, diagnosis and prediction of Alzheimer’s-Dementia disease and other neurodegenerative diseases, new advances in Imaging, Disease models and Translational Medicine, Technology-supported diagnosis and care, Novel approaches towards prevention and novel approaches in clinical treatment studies.

Alzheimer’s Summit 2018 is perceived globally as an important calendar event for the aged and dementia care industry. The meeting will give an International stage to share new research, experiences and evidence-based practices with Keynotes and Plenary talks and concurrent sessions with Special and Additional sessions, Poster and ePoster opportunities along with International Workshops and Symposiums for meaningful networking and engagement. Alzheimer’s – Dementia Statistics and Prevalence

Aim and Goals:

Alzheimer’s disease is named after Dr. Alois Alzheimer. In 1906, Dr. Alzheimer noticed changes in the brain tissue of a woman who had died of an unusual mental illness. Her symptoms included memory loss, language problems, and unpredictable behavior. Worldwide Alzheimer’s or a related Dementia is one of the greatest general medical problems confronting the world today. It influences more than 44 million individuals over the globe. Only 1-in-4 people with Alzheimer’s disease have been diagnosed which is most common in Western Europe and least prevalent in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Alzheimer’s is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States which is the only disease in the 10 leading causes of deaths in the United States that cannot be cured, prevented or slowed. An estimated 5.7 million Americans of all ages are living with Alzheimer’s dementia in 2018. Currently every 1 in 10 Americans over the age of 65 has Alzheimer’s. Between 2017 and 2025 every state is expected to see at least a 14% rise in the prevalence of Alzheimer’s.

In the past, there has been an 89% increase in deaths due to Alzheimer’s between 2000 and 2014. More than 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s and by 2050, it’s estimated there will be as many as 16 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s. As per the update, 1/3rd of Americans over age 85 are afflicted with the illness.

Proportion of People With Alzheimer’s Disease in the United States by Age: 85+ years – 38%, 75-84 years, 44%, 65-74 years, 15%, <65 years, 4%

Within United States, Mississippi has a higher rate of Alzheimer’s mortality than any other state at 45.8% followed by lowest in New York at 13.1%.

• To improve both Quality of care and Quality of Life

• Expand Supports for People with Alzheimer’s disease and their Families

• Enhance Public Awareness and Engagement

• Ensure well-trained palliative care through workforce training, education and awareness, and enhanced research.

• Advances in Disease Monitoring, Assessment and Care

• Translational Research and Therapy to Enable Predictive Drug Development

Tourism also composes a large part of Boston’s economy, with 21.2 million domestic and international visitors spending $8.3 billion in 2011; excluding visitors from Canada and Mexico, over 1.4 million international tourists visited Boston in 2014, with those from China and the United Kingdom leading the list.

The city of Boston has got many spots to visit are Freedom tail, New England Aquarium, Fenway Park, Museum of Fine Arts, Museum of Science, Old State House, John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, Boston National Historical Park, Franklin Park Zoo, Boston Children’s Museum, Harvard Museum of Natural History, Skywalk Observatory, Boston Light, Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology, Harvard Art Museums, Bunker Hill Monument, Harvard Square and visiting nearby cities (a big bonus in Boston, since New York is right next door). And there is always some sort of festival; after all, there are 250,000 students in this buzzing city. Whenever you visit Boston, it really does have something for everyone and certainly Boston has it all.
