RESPONSILBILITIES OF EXHIBITORS AND THEIR STOCK ATTENDANTSR1 RESPONSIBILITY The Society, itsOfficersand servants, shall notbe responsible toanypersonwhatsoeverwhilst

entering, or leaving the Society’s premises, for any damage or loss, however caused to the property ofsuchperson,orforanyinjury,fatalorotherwise,toanysuchperson.TheSociety,itsOfficersandservants shall not be responsible for any accident, damage, loss however caused that may occur to any exhibitor or his employee or to any animal, article, or property brought into the showground, or whilst entering, or on leaving, or being carried into or out of the said showground. The exhibitor shall be solely responsible for any loss, injury, or damage that may be done to, or occasioned by, or arising from any animal, article or property exhibited or brought into the showground by him/her and he/she shall indemnify and hold harmless the Society from all action, suits, expenses and claims on account of, or in respect of any such damage or injury which may be so caused or occasioned.

R2 CONDUCT OF EXHIBITORS AND THEIR EMPLOYEES/REPRESENTATIVES Allpersons inchargeofstockwillbesubjecttotheordersoftheSociety’sofficials.Employees/

representatives must be in attendance each day during the Show, at least half an hour prior to the time appointed for the examination, exhibition or parade of the animals in their charge. Exhibitors will be held responsible for the behaviour of their employees, and for the consequence of any misconduct of such employees/representatives. The Society reserves the right to ban from exhibiting or attending, whomsoever in their opinion contravenes or has contravened any of the Society’s bye-lawsorregulationsorwhobehavesnoisilyoroffensivelytoJudgesorOfficials.Anyexhibitordeemedtobeinbreachofthisregulationisliabletobedisqualifiedandanyawardcancelled,and such person thereupon may be excluded from exhibiting at future Shows of the Society.

R3 ANIMAL WELFARE – The Three Counties Agricultural Society expects all exhibitors to observe best practice at all times.

ENTRIESR4 ENTRY FORMS & DATA STORAGE Entries can be made online at threecounties.co.uk. Alternatively entry forms for the Show may be

obtainedfromtheLivestockOfficer,ThreeCountiesAgriculturalSociety,Malvern,Worcestershire,WR13 6NW. No entry will be accepted unless made on the prescribed form and accompanied by the correct fees

Information from entry forms will be stored on computer and the name, address and details of entries will be published in the Catalogue, unless otherwise advised; information about results may also be published and/or provided to the press and Breed Societies for publication. Information about exhibitors may also be passed to any regulatory authority, such as DEFRA or Trading Standards as well as the Society’s Veterinary Advisers. The making of an entry is irrevocable consent for the storage and disclosure of information in this way.

R5 EXHIBITS ENTERED IN MORE THAN ONE CLASS Animals may be entered in more than one class, except where otherwise stated in the Schedule.

The number of such additional classes shall be stated in the space provided on the entry form and the additional fees remitted for each entry.

R6 ENTRIES FOR SPECIAL PRIZES Theseclassesareidentifiedbyanadditional‘S’beforetheclassnumber.Nofeeisrequiredforsuch

entries, though each exhibit shall have appeared in the appropriate breed class and the fees paid for the same. This regulation does not apply for entry of animals for Champion Prizes as all eligible animals are automatically entered for such awards.

R7 CLOSING DATE OF ENTRIES The dates appointed for the closing of entries are: Cattle, Sheep, Wool, Pigs, & Pygmy Goats 17 April 2018 Pigs Online 1 May 2018 Angora Goat Pen Reservation 17 April 2018 Dairy Goats 19 April 2018 Angora Goat details 15 May 2018 Cattle substitutions 15 May 2018 National Rare and Minority Breeds Show closing dates as above. No livestock or competing entry will be accepted for competition unless the necessary entry form

properly completed and signed by the exhibitor (or by his duly authorised agent acting on his behalf), together with a remittance to cover the necessary fees in full, shall have been delivered to the LivestockOfficerattheSociety’sOffices,onorbeforetheclosingdateofentryfortherespectivesection. No entries can be accepted by telephone. ENTRIES RECEIVED AFTER THE CLOSING DATE OF ENTRIES CANNOT BE ACCEPTED.

R8 CORRECTNESS OF ENTRY FORMS Every exhibitor or competitor will be held responsible for the correctness of his/her entry form, and

mustcheckallentrydetailswhenconfirmationissent,asatthisstagechangescanbemade.Ifwhencalledupontoproveitscorrectness,he/shefailstodoso,theentryinquestionmaybedisqualified,and any award made to it cancelled. If it shall be proved that any exhibitor or competitor has knowingly signed an incorrect entry form, or has attempted to obtain a prize by unfair means whatsoever, all awards made to such an exhibitor or competitor in any class or competition may be cancelledandhe/shemaybedisqualifiedfromexhibitingatfutureShowsoftheSociety.ExhibitorsofCattleBreedswhicharenottattooedmustbringtotheShowtheregistrationcertificatesofthecattle forward. These must be produced at the request of the Society’s Stewards. Exhibitors are to state on entry forms if the exhibit has been imported from outside the United Kingdom. RANDOM IDENTIFICATION CHECKS OF LIVESTOCK WILL BE MADE AT THE SHOW. NO SUBSTITUTIONS WILL BE ALLOWED AFTER CLOSING OF ENTRIES.

R9 OWNERSHIP Allexhibitsshallbebona-fidepropertyoftheexhibitorattheoriginaldateofentryclosing,except

wheretheregulationisvariedbyanyconditionapplicabletospecificclassesstatedintheSchedule.In the event of the death of the exhibitor between the date of entry closing and date of the Show, the executor of the deceased shall be deemed to be the exhibitor.

R10 ENTRY BY MINORS Entries by persons under 18 years of age shall be accepted only provided the entry form is

countersigned by the parent, guardian or trustee of the entrant, who shall be held responsible for the correctness of the entry and for the compliance with these Show Regulations. Any entry made in contravention of this Regulation and inadvertently accepted may be cancelled.

R11 PARTICULARS OF EXHIBITS Full pedigree details must be given on the entry form where demanded. These details may be

printedintheshowcatalogue.Everyanimalenteredforcompetitionmustbeenteredorcertifiedas eligible for entry in the Herd, Flock or Stud Book of its breed in the U.K. Where an animal is entered by the exhibitor as eligible for entry in the Herd, Flock or Stud Book, proof of such eligibility must be furnished at the time of making the entry. This regulation does not apply to Commercial Cattle classes.

R12 AGE OF EXHIBITS The exact date of birth of each exhibit must be stated on the entry form, except in the case of

sheep,wheretheyearofbirthonly,needbegiven.InthecaseofdoubtorprotestacertificatesignedbytheSociety’sdulyappointedVeterinarySurgeonshallbeconsideredfinalandconclusive.

R13 RIGHT TO REJECT ENTRIES The Council of the Society reserves the sole right to reject or cancel the entry or entries made by

anyperson,ifitshalldeemfittodoso,andrighttocancelanyclassorclasses,refundinganyfeespaid in respect thereof. Owing to shortage of accommodation, the Council also, reserves the right to limit the number of entries in any class or section should this be necessary.

R14 CANCELLATION OF ENTRIES In the event of there being fewer than four exhibitors in any breed section (Pig breeds – three

exhibitors) the classes for such breed may be cancelled and the entry fees refunded, unless otherwise stated under individual breed sections. In the event of their being fewer than three exhibitors entered in any class it may be cancelled and entry fees refunded, except in cases where possible amalgamationisspecificallyallowedforintheschedule.

R15 NOMINATION OF ENTRIES Any form failing to give the full name of the exhibit will be refused. The entry form together with

any fees remitted herewith will be returned to the person sending the form. (Except in the case of R82 Pig Section.)

R16 ACCURACY OF CATALOGUE The Society will not be responsible for any inaccuracy in any pedigree or other particulars inserted

in the catalogue, though every care will be made to ensure the accuracy of all particulars printed therein. Please use BLOCK CAPITALS when completing your entry form.

FEESR17 PAYMENT OF ENTRY AND/OR ACCOMMODATION FEES All remittances in payment of fees shall be by crossed cheque, credit card, debit card, money

orderorpostalordermadepayableto‘ROYALTHREECOUNTIESSHOW’,orbyelectronictransfer.A charge of £25 will be made for any returned or refused cheques.

R18 ENTRY FEES Fees for each entry are shown at the head of each section of this Schedule. All entry fees are

inclusive of VAT @ 20%. (Any change in VAT rate will be applied from the due date.) VAT registered no. 729848577. The acceptance of entries at Members’ rates is conditional upon the exhibitor having paid their annual subscription. Persons desiring to become members and wishing to avail themselves of entering at Members’ rates must pay £50.00, being the subscription for 2018.

R19 REFUND OF ENTRY FEES Any entry fee paid shall not be returnable, except in the case of an animal incapacitated by

accident, injury or illness. Any claim under this clause must be made in writing to the Chief Executive OfficerandmustbeaccompaniedbyacertificateissuedbyaVeterinarySurgeontobereceivednot later than 11 June 2018 together with all labels and passes issued by the Society in respect of the entry/ies in question. ANY CLAIM RECEIVED AFTER 11 JUNE 2018 WILL BE INVALID.

TICKETSR20 EXHIBITORS’ PASSES Each exhibitor shall receive passes as listed below, but a Member of the Society will receive his/her

Additional one day exhibitor passes may be purchased, in advance only, at £16.20 (inc VAT)R22 LORRY PASSES - Livestock Allvehicleswillbeinspectedbeforeenteringtheshowground.‘Dirty’vehicleswillbeturnedaway,

or moved to an area to be cleaned before entering the showground. Exhibitors will be provided with a lorry pass to enable them to bring their stock into the Showground, and such passes will cover (pre-Show) the lorry and driver. Upon off-loading of stock such lorries will be required to be parked in the designated area and will not be permitted to return to the vicinity of the stock lines until departure time on the afternoon of the last day of the Show. Exhibitors must state on entry formstheadditionalnumberofsuchlorrypassesrequired.PleaseNote:Aone-waytrafficsystemin operation.

DISEASED ANIMALSR23 ANIMALS SUFFERING FROM DISEASE Every exhibitor shall indemnify the Society against all actions, claims, proceedings and demands by

any person, company or other representative body of whatsoever nature in respect of any matter, directly or indirectly connected with the bringing onto the Society’s Showground of any animal which may have been suffering from any contagious or infectious disease or which develops such a disease whilst on the Showground and in addition the exhibitor shall pay all costs and expenses incurred by theSocietyinconnectionwithanysuchclaim.TheSociety’sVeterinaryOfficersareauthorisedtorefuse permission for any animal to be admitted to, or have removed from, the Showground any animals affected with contagious or infectious disease. The exhibitor of such animal may obtain acertificatefromtheShowSecretary,statingthenatureofsuchdiseaseorinfection.Theonusofproving the freedom of any such animal from contagious or infectious disease shall rest on the exhibitor of the animal concerned. A Veterinary inspection will be carried out on all animals in their pens or stalls.

AWARDS R24 PRIZES Prizes will be awarded on the scales shown at the beginning of each entry section.R25 CONDITIONAL AWARDS In all cases where the prizes are offered or awarded conditionally, they will be withheld until the

exhibitor shall have proven to the satisfaction of the Council that the conditions have been complied with.

R26 ROSETTES AND PRIZE COLOURS No animal will be allowed to wear a rosette, sash or ribbon other than those issued by the Society,

and no rosette, sash or ribbon may be displaying during judging which has been awarded in a

previous class. The colours for prizes will be Supreme Champion and Champion – Red, White and Blue, Reserve Supreme Champion and Reserve Champion – White and Red, Special Prize – White and Blue, Reserve for Special Prizes – Mauve, First – Red, Second – Blue, Third – Yellow, Fourth – Green, Fifth – Brown. All other awards – White.

R27 PROTESTS Any exhibitor wishing to make a protest having reference to livestock or horses exhibited at the

Show,mustmakethesameinwritingtotheLivestockOfficer,andmustdepositasumof£50.Ifuponinvestigation the protest is not sustained to the satisfaction of the Stewards, the sum thus deposited shallbeforfeitedtotheSociety’sfunds.AllprotestsmustbedeliveredtotheShowOfficeattheShowground before 5.00 pm on the day on which the award shall have been made, and no protest will be subsequently received unless a satisfactory reason be given for the delay. Protests will be considered by the Chief Steward of the Section concerned in consultation with his/her assistants. If the Chief Steward in unable to resolve the protest, then he/she will refer the matter to the Society’s Livestock Committee.

R28 ALTERATION OF AWARDS In case of any protest made in accordance with Regulation 27 whereby any prize animal becomes

disqualified,thewinnerofthenextsucceedingprizeinthatclassshalltaketheprizethathadbeenawardedtothedisqualifiedanimal.

R29 PRIZE MONEY PAYMENT The prize money offered by the Society WILL BE PAID OUT BEFORE 1 AUGUST 2018 in respect of all

prizes offered by the Society. Special prizes offered by private donors of Breed Societies will be paid direct to the winners, and the Society cannot hold itself responsible for non-payment of any such prizes.AnyclaimorcomplaintregardingprizemoneypaidorunpaidshallbenotifiedtotheLivestockOfficeroftheSocietybefore1September2018.Chequesmustbecashedwithinsixmonthsofissue,and any cheque not presented within this time limit will deem the prize and cheque cancelled.

R30 CHALLENGE TROPHIES Winners of trophies offered by the Society may hold these until 1 April of the year following the

awardwhenthetrophiesmustbereturned ingoodconditiontotheSociety’sOfficesortotheSociety’s appointed agents for engraving. Trophies returned by post must be sent by Recorded Delivery. Failure to return trophies by the due date may incur a maximum penalty of £100. The Society’s Trophy Registration number is shown in brackets after the name of each trophy in the list of Special Prizes in each section. Exhibitors who wish to hold trophies must collect these from the Society’sOfficesbetween9.00amand5.00pmoneachoftheShowdays.

JUDGESR31 JUDGES TheJudgesareinstructedtowithholdprizeswheretheentryisnotofsufficientmerit,andinawarding

prizes the Judges are instructed to make their awards according to the relative merits of the exhibits for breeding purposes in breed classes. If in the opinion of the Judges any animal appears to be unfitforbreedingpurposes,theJudgesshallbeatlibertytohavetheanimalexaminedbyoneoftheSociety’sVeterinarySurgeons,whoseopinionshallbeconsideredtobefinalandconclusive,andifhe/shesodirects,theanimalwillbedisqualifiedfromtakingaprizewhichmightotherwisebeawardedtoit.NopersonotherthanaStewardorauthorisedOfficialoftheSocietyshallentera ring when judging is in progress, nor shall have any communication with the Judges during the time of judging, and all exhibitors and their agents acting in opposition to this regulation shall forfeit such prize as may be awarded to their exhibit.

R32 CHANGE OF JUDGE Should an exhibit be forward for competition, which was either bred or previously owned by the

officiatingJudge,thenarefereemaybeintroducedattherequestoftheChiefStewardoftheSection. The exhibitor will know who is judging from the schedule whereas the Judge will not know which animals are coming before him until he arrives in the ring. If there is an unforeseen change of Judge then the exhibitor should stand down from the class and entry fees will be refunded or advise the Chief Steward before judging commences so that a referee may be appointed. EVERY EFFORT WILL BE MADE TO INFORM EXHIBITORS OF A CHANGE IN JUDGE.

R33 PARADES AND JUDGING Anyexhibitororemployee refusing tobring their exhibitsonparadeata specified timewhen

requested by the Stewards to do so shall be liable to forfeit to the Society any prize money previously awarded to the said exhibits. All employees in charge of stock which is to be paraded must have their exhibits ready for such parade thirty minutes prior to the times of parades as laid down in the officialtimetable.WhitecoatsorBreedSocietyuniformmustbewornintheBreedJudgingringand the Grand Parades. The correct number must be worn by the exhibitor in each class. Failure to do so may result in the animal being excluded from being judged. Cattle exhibitors should note that bulls should always have two handlers.

GENERALR37 VETERINARY SURGEON It is a condition of entry that the Society’s Veterinary Surgeons may on their own authority give

such emergency treatment as they may consider appropriate in the event that the owner or his representative cannot be found.

R38 DEFRA REGULATION Exhibitors should be aware of and conform to the regulations in place by DEFRA at all times.R39 MALPRACTICES Anyartificialcontrivanceordeviceofanydescription,orsubstance,foundonorprovedtohave

beenonananimalatanytime,eitherforpreventingor influencingabnormallytheflowofmilkor for any other improper practice, shall disqualify that animal from any award and the owner/exhibitor may be prohibited from exhibiting at future Shows. For the purposes of this regulation the term‘improperpractice’shallbeheldtoincludesettingofteats,andgenerallyanyotherpracticewhich results in the animals being shown other than in a natural state. The Society reserves the right tohaveallanimalsinspectedbytheSeniorVeterinaryOfficereitherpriorto,duringorafterjudgingor at any other time whilst on the Showground.

R40 TRANSIT OF ANIMALS – From January 2007 Welfare in Transport Regulation (EC) no. 1.2005 will apply. NOTE: It will be an offence to transport any female animal for whom 90% or more of the gestation period has already passed or female animals that have given birth in the previous week.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are transporting animals over 65KMs you will require an Animal Transporter Authorisation,andas fromJanuary2008 it isnowa legal requirement tohaveaCertificateofCompetence for transporting animals over 65Kms (please check with your local authority)

R41 STALLING OF EXHBITS Exhibitors and their employees must see that their exhibits are stalled or penned in the allotted

place for them in accordance with their exhibit numbers, and no person shall remove or otherwise defaceanynoticeorexhibitnumberplacedbytheSociety,oritsOfficersonthestallsorpens,norshall any exhibit be stalled or penned in the place allotted to another exhibit, and no person shall utilise a vacant stall or pen without written consent of the Steward or Chief Steward. The penalty for the infringement of this regulation shall be that the exhibitor whose exhibit is incorrectly stalled orpennedshallforfeitallprizesawardedtosuchexhibit,andshallincurafineof£20foreachday,or part of a day the animal is incorrectly stalled or penned. No animal shall be cleansed other than at the wash downs provided for this purpose. GREAT CARE MUST BE TAKEN WHEN USING POWER WASHERS TO CLEAN LIVESTOCK.

R42 STRAW Straw will be allocated on the following basis: Cattle – Loose straw in the stall on arrival. Sheep – One

third of a bale per pen on arrival. Pigs – Half a bale per pen on arrival. Further straw to be distributed at the beginning and end of each day as required – times to be advised within the lines. No straw tickets will be issued.

R43 RUGS AND SHEETS Except by special permission of the Steward of the Section, no rug or sheet shall be hung up so as

to conceal any animal in a stall or pen. All sheets used for this purpose must be removed before the opening of the Show each day to the general public, and must not be replaced until after the closing of the Show each day.

R44 PUBLICITY Exhibitorswillbeallowedtopromotetheirherd/flockbutthefollowingconditionswillapply– a. Cattle section – space allowed per animal forward maximum of 5’ wide per stall. b. Sheep and Pig sections – space allowed per pen maximum of 5’ wide per pen. c. Maximumheightforherd/flockpublicityboardsfromgroundlevel–cattle8’,sheepandpigs

6’. d. No promotion material to be hung from the roof, or placed in the gangways. e. No advertising other than acknowledgements of suppliers will be permitted. f. Only Rosettes and Prize Cards of this Society to be displayed, and these must only be for the

current year.

g. Exhibit cards provided by the Society must be clearly displayed for each animal forward.R45 STOVES Exhibitors or their employees desiring to bring portable stoves or barbecues onto the showground for

cooking etc, will only be permitted to do so provided such stoves are carried and used in a properly constructedfireresistingbox.UseofstoveswillnotbepermittedunderanycircumstanceswithintheconfinesofLivestocklinesorStockperson’saccommodationwithinthemainshowground.

R46 STEWARDS NopersonshallofficiateinthejudgingringasStewardatthetimeofjudgingofaclassinwhichhe

or she shall have an exhibit. In the event of a Steward making entries after his or her appointment, the Chief Steward shall at his sole discretion appoint a deputy Steward to carry out the duties for the class in question.

R47 DOGS/PETS – are not allowed on the Showground or in the Stock lines with the exception of Assistance Dogs and those taking part in competitive classes or events.

R48 PENALTIES Any infringement of any of the Regulations or Conditions printed in this Schedule will subject the

exhibitor to forfeiture of any prize to which he/she may be entitled (in addition to the consequences attaching to the infringement) and the Council reserve the right to inform other Agricultural Societies and bodies of any decision it may come to with respect to an exhibitor.

R49 INTERPRETATION OF REGULATIONS The Society reserves to itself by its Council the sole and absolute right to interpret these or any other

prescribed conditions and regulations, or Prize Sheets, and to settle arbitrarily and determine all matters, questions or difference in regard hereto, or otherwise arising out of, connected with incident to the show. Also to refuse and to cancel and entries, disqualify exhibitors, prohibit exhibition of entries, vary or cancel awards of prizes or reserve numbers, and relax conditions, as the Society may deem expedient.

R50 PLEASE NOTE All exhibitors and other persons admitted to the showground shall be subject to the rules, orders,

conditions and regulations of the Council of the Three Counties Agricultural Society. The Organisers of this show have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and preventaccidentsoccurringandmustobeytheinstructionsoftheOrganisersandallOfficialsandStewards.

CATTLE SECTIONR51 At the time of the Show cattle must be from herds which are free from restrictions imposed

under i) The Tuberculosis Order 1964 (as amended) ii) The Brucellosis (England and Wales) Order 1981 or the Brucellosis (Scotland) Order 1979

(as amended). In addition the entered animals must not themselves be under individual restrictions.

R52 ABORTIONS AND PREMATURE CALVINGS Heifers and cows showing abnormal discharge or which appear to abort will be placed in

isolation and returned to their premises of origin as soon as possible. An abortion enquiry will be carried out prior to the animals being removed from the Showground. A local Veterinary Surgeon acting as one of the Society’s Veterinary Surgeon or a Veterinary Surgeon of DEFRA will collect a range of samples. There will be no charge made to the exhibitors for the taking of samples. Arrangements will be made for the animal subjected to the abortion/premature calving enquiry and any other animal at the Show originating from the same herd, to be returned to the premises of origin as soon as possible.

R53 NORMAL FULL TIME CALVINGS Heifers and cows calving at full term on the Showground will be placed in isolation and after

calving will either – i) be returned to the herd of origin as soon as possible; or ii) be sampled on behalf of the owner, or his representative, by one of the Society’s Veterinary

Surgeons. Samples will be tested at the DEFRA laboratory. If the tests are negative the animal/s may, at the discretion of the Society’s Veterinary Surgeons, return to the Show lines. The owner or his representative will be responsible for the payment of any fees incurred in the taking of samples.

R54 Heifers and cows calving at the Show after the time of judging will be placed in isolation to be returned home as soon as possible.

R55 Heifers and cows showing any discharge upon arrival at the Showground will not be allowed to enter their stalls or compete, and will be placed in isolation immediately. It is regretted that entry fees for such animals cannot be refunded.

R56 Any animal found during the Show to be showing abnormal discharge will be removed to isolation immediately.

R57 TIMES OF ARRIVAL, JUDGING AND DEPARTURE which will be strictly observed. ARRIVAL – Beef, Commercial Cattle and Dual Purpose Cattle exhibitors may arrive between: 12.00 – 20.00 on Wednesday 13 June 2018 07.00 – 20.00 on Thursday 14 June 2018 Dairy Cattle and Calf show exhibits may arrive between 06.00 and 08.00 and after 18.00 on

Friday 15 June 2018, and not later than 08.00 on Saturday 16 June 2018. Commercial cattle must be stalled by 20.00 on Thursday 14 June 2018, weigh in is between

18.00 and 19.00 on Friday 15 June 2018. Those exhibiting solely in the National Rare and Minority Breeds Show may arrive during the

times stated above and between: 18.00 - 20.00 Friday 15 June 2018 06.00 - 08.00 and 18.00 - 20.00 Saturday 16 June 2018 06.00 - 08.00 Sunday 17 June 2018. R59 IN MILK HEIFERS AND COWS Noheiferorcowenteredas‘inmilk’willbeeligibletoreceiveaprizeunlesscertifiedtohave

hadalivingcalfwithinfifteenmonthsprecedingthedateoftheShow,orthatcalf,ifdead,was born at the proper time. All heifers and cows to which milk shall have been given during theShowwillbedisqualified.Judgesmayhaveanyorallanimalsmilkedintheringtoforman opinion of the udder after milking.

R60 MILKING FACILITIES - Milking facilities will no longer be provided; exhibitors will need to bring their own milking unit, clusters and other equipment.

Please note the following guidelines- a. All milkers should wear the following: -suitable footwear (clean, disinfected and waterproof eg wellington boots) -headwear (clean) -Milking apron (clean, disinfected and waterproof) b. No washing or clipping cows in milking area. c. General personal hygiene eg No smoking d. Hygienic removal of milk from cow to tank room eg lid on bucket, clusters not dragging

alongfloor.R61 SECURING OF CATTLE Itisarequirementthatallbullsover12monthsshouldbefittedwithanosering.Allanimals

(except calves) must be led with a nosecord attached. All animals must be double tied in the stalls. All cattle must be secured to the satisfaction of the Stewards, who shall have power to exclude from the Showground any vicious or unruly animal. Animals with a previous record of unruly behaviour should not be brought to the Show. Livestock must be under the control of a competent handler, with appropriate restraint equipment, at all times.

R62 ARTIFICIAL COLOURINGS Cattlefoundtobeartificiallycolouredorotherwisefakedinanypart,eitheratthetimeof

judgingoratatimewhilstontheShowgroundwillbedisqualifiedandtheexhibitordealtwithunder General Show Regulation 8.

R63 CLASSES All cattle entered for competition shall be exhibited in the class for which they are eligible

on the days of the Show.R64 CATTLE PASSPORTS Cattle Passports must accompany the animals and remain on the Showground for the duration

of the animal’s attendance. Bar Codes with the Royal Three Counties Show number will be issuedfromtheLivestockStewardsOffice.

R65 CANCELLATION OF CATTLE STALLS If an exhibitor wishes to reduce or cancel the number of stalls booked, provided that WRITTEN

notificationofcancellationisreceivedatleast7dayspriortotheopeningoftheShow,then£5 for each stall booked will be refunded. REFUNDS WILL ONLY BE PAID IF NOTIFIED IN WRITING BY THE DUE DATE.

R66 PLEASE NOTE - Exhibitors, in their own interests, are advised to read carefully the General Show Regulations

in this Schedule before making their entries.

The BWMB National Golden Fleece Competition

1. New for 2016 is The British Wool Marketing Board (BWMB) National Golden Fleece Competition being held in association with JG Animal Health

2. The Champion Fleece from 12 nominated agricultural shows across the UK will automatically be entered into this national competition. The show champion fleece and scorecard will be removed by a BWMB representative at the end of the show and stored, clearly labelled on behalf of the exhibitor

3. All existing show fleece competition rules apply 4. Should the exhibitor of the show champion fleece choose not to enter this

competition, the show reserve champion will be offered the opportunity to enter their fleeces to represent the show

5. All show champion fleeces entered in this competition will either be returned to the exhibitor or graded and allocated to the exhibitors wool clip using their BWMB producer registration number

6. BWMB registered wool producers will also have the opportunity to enter this competition via the network of 11 BWMB grading depots. These depot entered fleeces will be judged in two categories - traditional carpet and speciality/knitwear/fashion and these winners will in turn be judged against the show champion fleeces

7. Judging of the final of the BWMB National Golden Fleece Competition will take place in April 2017 at the end of the wool season at BWMB Head Office in Bradford.

8. All finalists in the BWMB competition will be invited to a presentation ceremony in Bradford and will receive £125 product vouchers from JG Animal Health

R70 RAMS All rams two years old and upwards shall have been used in the year preceding the Show and

R71 MAEDI VISNA ACCREDITED SHEEP SECTION Sheep will only be allowed into the Maedi Visna accredited section on the production of a valid

certificate of accreditation (SAC certificate) which must be presented on entering the Showground. A photocopy is requested to be included with the completed entry form.

R72 DUPLICATE ENTRIES No animals shall be drawn from a pen of three or a pair of two to be shown as a single exhibit, or

vice versa.R73 SHORT TAIL DOCKING OF SHEEP The welfare of livestock (prohibited operations) Regulation 1982. No short docked sheep may be

exhibited at the Show.R74 GRAND PARADE Breed Champions and Reserve Champions will be required to parade.

Please note that if lambings/kiddings occur in animals originating from premises not registered under the scrapie monitoring scheme or category IV of the Sheep and Goat Health Scheme. The scrapie status of all animals at the unsegregated show/sale and premises (if those animals return) may be jeopardised. To try to limit the effect of such lambings/kiddings or abortions, the show secretary should report them immediatelytothelocalDVMtoallowavisittotheshowgroundbyananimalHealth/VeterinaryOfficerwho can then conduct an enquiry and more easily identify the animals put at risk.

All entries must also be tagged in compliance with government movement requirements.

2 At all Shows in 2018, female pigs (all breeds) born before 1 January 2017 shall be eligible to compete only if in the six calendar months prior to the Show they have farrowed, suckled and reared to four weeks of age, a litter of pigs.

3 At all Shows in 2018 female pigs born on or after 1 January and before 1 July in the year before the Show must within 18 months of their date of birth have farrowed, suckled and reared to four weeks of age a litter of pigs.

4 Boarsoftwoyearsofageandover(allbreeds)aretobecertifiedashavingsiredatleastthreelivelitterswithinthetwelvemonthsprecedingthedateofthefirstdayoftheShow.ThepigscomprisingsuchlittersaretohavebeenlitternotifiedintheBritishPigAssociation’sHerd Book or proof of their birth must have been given to the Association.

Both Shows are held under the Rules, Regulations and Recognition of the British Goat Society. All exhibits must be registered with the BGS as in the ownership and in the name of the exhibitor, the registered name and number being quoted on the entry form. (Also the kidding date for goats in milk.) All goats in milk must be kidded or aborted a minimum of 30 days previous to the date of the Show.No pregnant goat shall be admitted to the Showground. In the event of an unforeseen kidding or abortion, the goat must be isolated immediately. Full details of the goat, exhibitor and action taken, must be reported in writing to the BGS Secretary immediately after the show.

Please note that if kiddings occur in animals from premises not registered under the scrapie monitoring scheme or category IV of the Sheep and Goat Health Scheme, the scrapie status of all animals at the unsegregated show/sale and premises (if those animals return) may be jeopardised.
