In this role I was the key stakeholder for strategic value creation and represented the company's commitment to grow project development activities in Latin America (mainly Mexico, Venezuela and Bolivia) and sub-Saharan Africa (mainly Nigeria, Angola, Mozambique and Tanzania). I developed and managed projects that use the technologies and EPC capabilities of the Maire Tecnimont group while building alliances with other companies, organizations and institutes. With my creative, entrepreneurial approach I initiated several projects and developed these into opportunities that require investments of around EUR 2 billion in which Maire Tecnimont wanted to take a minority stake. In my role being a project developer I also scanned, potential markets in Latin America and sub-Saharan Africa for opportunities in the petrochemicals and fertilizers sector and analyzed markets where gas and other feedstock were available and not fully exploited. I worked with all stakeholders, including governments, investors, legislators, industry partners and so on, as they develop projects, secure gas contracts, technologies, engineering and operating partners, establishing marketing rights and so on.
