EG EVENTS Group of 30 property professionals race to raise funds in Mazda London Triathlon

Team LandAid tri's and su At around midday on Saturday 1August, the first tranche of around 30 LandAid fundraisers submerged themselves in the cool and very brown waters of London's Victoria Dock in a bid to each raise around £500 for the charity.

They were all gathered at the city's ExCel Centre to take part

in the Mazda London Triathlon. LandAid, with support from Savills and Estates Gazette, had organised a corporate wave in the event.

While the majority of LandAid's team members ­including EG news editor Samantha McClary and EG finance editor Mike Phillips

(below right, in their wetsuits) - went in for the sprint event consisting of a 750m swim, a 20km cycle rid'e and a 5km run, a number of hardcore property types took part in the gruelling Olympic dist.ance.

Chris Kiely, son of Savins' director of housing consultancy division]ohn Kiely, was the first

ceeds man over the line in the corporate Olympic distance, s,vimming 1.5lan, cycling 40km and running 10km.

Fastest in the sprint distance was Richard Masters, who came 415th out of 1,513 with a time of 1m 26min 26sec. Sam and Mike finished in 1.35.06 and 1.39.12 respectively.
