FOREWORD - REMOTE CONTROL

INFORMAZIONI GENERALI

Il telecomando funziona con due batterie non ricaricabili da 1,5 V. When the batteries are low, the remote control display tends to become dim. If the batteries are not replaced, the display will go off completely.

Fig. 1

Fig. 2

Inserimento batterie:

• Remove the cover of the battery compartment at the back of the remote control.• Remove the used batteries and insert new batteries.Wait 10 minutes before fitting the new batteries. The remote control uses two alkaline batteries (1.5 V, LR03x2).• Do not use used batteries or batteries of different types, as this may cause the unit to malfunction.• The average battery life during normal use is approximately one year. The remote control used batteries must be disposed of according to the standards in force.

Important: The remote control will not work for at least 10 minutes between removal of the flat batteries and fitting the new ones .

The maximum operating range for the remote control is approx. 5 m.

No obstructions such as curtains or plants should be between control and unit.

Direct sun on the unit receiver may interfere with good signal reception ( for VM-B VM-F versions ) ( Fig. 1) or on the remote receiver for VN units ( Fig. 2) and press the button for the required function.

After selecting the function to be set, press the On/Send button for sending the command to the unit.

The operating setting to the unit are sent by the remote control through an infrared ray.The emitter is placed on top of the remote control just over the display.

For this reason, the remote control must be directed towards the unit before sending any message and care must be taken that no obstructions are between the remote control and the unit.

The symbol on the display left side indicates that the message has been correctly sent.

An acoustical acknowledgement sound (beep) will indicate that signal has been received.

When the convector fan is cleaned, it is absolutely forbidden to use:

- Gas, petrol (gasoline), thiner or degreasing substances: these can damage the paint.

- Water hotter than 40°C: could discolour or warp the parts.

3:Fit the filter back in position and make sure that it has correctly fitted into its housing.

NOTE: It is advisable to replace the filter before the winter season.

HOW TO DRAIN OUT THE CONDENSATION

proceed in the following way:

- During the summer season, make sure that the condensation drain pipe is free from dust or other forewign bodies that could clog it and cause condensation to spill out.

- The condensation drain pipe is accessible in versions with cabinets by removing the metal.

- Make sure that the pipe slopes sufficiently to allow the water to flow out.
