It is our great pleasure to announce that the African Regional Meeting “A New Smile for Africa” of the International Association of Paediatric Dentistry (IAPD) Regional Meeting will be held during 16-18 March, 2018 | Johannesburg, South Africa.
The IAPD Regional Meeting will be the most prestigious meeting in children’s dentistry to be held on the African Continent. This meeting is organized by the Paedodontic Society of South Africa which was founded in 1980 under the auspices of the IAPD.
Children make up the largest age group in Africa and are the future. Africa has one of the highest DMF indices in the world. It is thus very important for us to acquire the tools to be able to reverse this very frightening statistic.
This meeting will focus and cover important topics in children’s dental health.
The program is a combination of keynote speakers, invited local speakers, poster presentations, panel discussions, hands-on sessions and industry displayed exhibitions.
The meeting will focus on the importance of Prevention of Dental Caries, Dental Biomaterials, Pain and Fear, Dental Trauma, Sedative Methods, Aesthetics and more.
This is an opportunity for you to take a trip to the Cradle of Mankind as well as visiting Soweto. You have the chance to go down a gold mine as well as take a break at one of our famous game parks.
You will leave our sunny shores with fantastic memories of a world class dental meeting and sights you will never forget.
We are looking forward to giving you a warm South African Welcome!
