UNITOR CHEMICALS What happened:
• Barrel of Air Cooler Cleaner washed up on Wa’atch Beach near Makah Bay
• Unitor Chemicals was informed of the issue and hired NRCES to remove the barrel from the beach
Significance:• No observed discharge• NRCES reported that the
barrel was empty once they removed it.
• Prompted discussion of ownership among responders

WN 7536 RS What happened:
O/O called to report hard aground Could not afford clean up
OSLTF opened to remove fuel Significance:
FOSCR deemed vsl imminent threat and it was removed from position on jetty and moored in Kingston Marina
Ballard Diving continued to pump out the vessel while moored until DNR removed it

HMS 2000 What happened:
Tank overflowed during regulated transfer. Multi agency response Total waterway impact was about 2 barrels, all of which remained inside the secondary
containment Significance:
Initial NRC report mentioned 20 barrel waterway impact, so news coverage was higher
RRT consulted to determinecleaning process forpolluted pier
