The 1674 Lambda Gate evolvesaccording to your needs andrequirements. The variety of interfacesoffered by the 1674 Lambda Gatecovers the entire range of interfacesof current deployments, i.e. STM-16,STM-4, STM-1, 140 Mb/s PDH, andfeatures in addition Alcatel's highspeed interface at 10 Gb/s STM-64 carrying VC-4-nc signals. All interfaces allow any concatenation(VC-4-4c/16c/64c) compliant withthis interface. Further, the 1674Lambda Gate offers optical channelnetwork interfaces of 2.7 and 10.7Gb/s and transparently processes theoptical channels according to theemerging standards - and, foraccessing the optical layer, the 1674Lambda Gate provides userinterfaces to serve any 2.5 and 9.9Gb/s SDH signal on optical channels.The capabilities of the 2.7 and 10.7 Gb/s interfaces allow a trueprocessing of optical signals in thesystems and even groom andsegregate any signal above

150 Mb/s into and from these opticalsignals. With the 1674 Lambda Gate,we have the world-wide first systemnot only supporting high speed linksbut also offering the facilities toflexibly manage many of them. Light on light is the low footprint lowcapacity high speed variant of the1674 Lambda Gate R1 - especiallydesigned for interconnecting 2.5 or10 Gb/s rings and dropping some ofthe traffic. A typical applicationinterconnects three 10 Gb/s ringsfrom which 20 Gb/s are dropped -and all this in two racks includingredundant common parts !!

High on Light

High on light is the low footprint highcapacity high speed variant of the1674 Lambda Gate R1 developed forhigh capacity applications as it cancross connect up to 5 Tb/s, i.e. 5120 Gb/s, even offering access tothe optical layer through an OpticalChannel Interface (OCh-I/F). This machine has thus a variety ofapplications - it is deployed inmeshed networks, in ring networksand in a combination thereof. It serves any need you may come upwith through its flexible applicationunder any circumstances - it is thepoint of flexibility you need in yournetwork.

Deep into Light

Deep into light you go with the 1674 Lambda Gate R2. Next to allthe features available in the 1674Lambda Gate R1, this system offersoperators interfacing capabilities onoptical channels. Hence, theincreased effectiveness provided bythis capability results in an optimizednetwork design where optical traffic iscross-connected on the optical layeror on the SDH layer - your networkdesign determines the choice.
