Zester Hernandez March 4, 2014 GENDEVT A51 SENATE The Senate is the other House which comprises the legislative which comprises the legislative branch of the government according to Article Vl section 2 of the 1987 Philippine Constituiton, the Senate shall be composed of 24 senetors who are elected at large by the qualified voters of the Philippines. There are 18 male senators and 6 female senetors in the 16 th Congress of the Philippine Senate. The male senetors comprise 75% of the total membership of the senate as compared to the 25% of the whole membership. The number of male senators elected in the senate shows that the people of the Philippines have placed more trust on male senators compared to female senators. The people of the Philippines thought that it will be more appropriate if there are more males because they think that males can influence more. 16th Congress Senators

SENATE

The Senate is the other House which comprises the legislative which comprises the

There are 18 male senators and 6 female senetors in the 16th Congress of the
