Tucker, I thought Id take the opportunity to take over :) – I mean write to you all! This is the 8 th week of being ordained a priest and I sll feel like a deer in headlights when I dont know what to do or say. Yet, it has been absolutely amazing to marvel at the work the Lord is doing through me and humbling to have so many opportunies to remind myself not to worry because the Lord is walking through it all right beside me so everything is going to be okay. More and more I realize that there are so many blessings in disguise! Ive been blessed with the opportunity to go on a mission trip last month and the pov- erty we witnessed reminded me of the poverty and brokenness of all our hearts. Fo- cusing only on this can lead any soul to despair, but bringing that poverty to our Lord was a great reminder that though we are poor and broken, the Lord will always meet us where we are at with His great power and love to heal us and fill us up for we are His beloved children! This past week I was also blessed with the opportunity to go on the Diocesan Canoe Trip and it was amazing! It was fun and spiritually enriching, but that doesnt mean it wasnt uncomfortable. I leſt the campsite sweaty, exhausted, poorer because I dropped a $20 bill in the river, a lile burnt, and sore with mulple bruises, scrapes, cuts and mosquito bites. But I wouldnt trade any of that away because of the joy, laughter, and fellowship that was shared through it all! Even if it did rain on us both nights, got everything wet, collapsed some tents and blew them away, we endured the storm and all laughed about it the next morning because we weathered the storm to- gether. There is always joy and strength in unity even during storms of our life. And who knows, maybe the storm kept the mountain lion that Fr. Doher was hearing away from us – aſter all, blessings can come in disguises! Or maybe it was because I praying for a cool storm so wed finally stop sweang as we tried to fall asleep. Why not both? Either way, friendships were deepened and sancfied on this trip and it was a blessing to witness and experience. What are the blessings in disguise in your life? Maybe you see something in your life as a cross, but why not see it as a blessing in disguise? Think of the ways your crosses could actually be helping you because God does not allow suffering in our life without guaranteeing that it will bear great fruit and bring us lasng joy – look at the crucifix for example! My prayer for you is that you will see the blessings the Lord wishes to flood your heart with and to deepen your friendships, poco a poco (lile by lile), so as to weather storms together and experience holy joy and strength. Dear Parishioners,

In the absence of Msgr. Tucker, I thought I’d take the opportunity to take over :) – I mean write to you all! This is the 8th week of being ordained a priest and I still feel like a deer in headlights when I don’t know what to do or say.
