13. Homework: Many respiratory diseases limit a person’s capacity to exchange oxygen. One of these diseases is pneumonia, which causes the alveoli to fill up with fluid. Another is pleurisy, which is an inflammation of the lining of the lung, making it painful to inhale and exhale.
