Nishant completed his civil engineering from the SMV Institute of Technolo-
gy – Bangalore, in 1999 and went on to take the real estate industry by its
horns. Putting his zeal to use, he augmented the sales activity multi-fold
overachieving every target and landing a Business Excellence Award in his
second year. This laid the foundation for a long and flourishing career in
sales, business development and allied activities starting from the ground up.
His next few years at Aviva saw him rise steadily from an executive profile to
a senior leadership position. Nishant gained crucial exposure in Project
Management, Bancassurance, Relationship Management, and set up a large
distribution channel driving diverse sales teams. He was also backed for vari-
ous blue chip programmes including Aviva’s Accelerated Leadership Pro-
gramme in 2007-2008 at the Indian Institute of Management - (IIM) Ahmed-
abad, and the Advanced Financial Analysis Programme 2012 at the Indian
Institute of Management (IIM), Indore.
In his next assignment with Basix, India’s pioneering Micro Finance Organi-
zation, Nishant initiated and successfully completed the pilot for micro
housing in Delhi. He also created and implemented opportunities for micro
housing growth in new markets, and increased business through initiatives
in new product propositions and lead generation. He soon took on the re-
sponsibility setting up and managing over 6000 Common Service Centers, a
last mile digital kiosk network for Basix, and managing relationships with
various Government line departments, identifying opportunities for B2C and
G2C services. He also got expose to micro credit business when led an
overdue recovery drive in North Eastern States.
Nishant, subsequently moved a start up Connect India and was a critical
team member right from its inception of conceptualizing and creating a last
mile distribution network of 10000 franchisee centers. He lead a team to
establish this network ad engineered exclusive contracts with the Govern-
ment of India and few other state governments for establishing a network of
franchises for last mile delivery in small towns and rural India last mile logistic
solution. Nishant’s excellent contacts and his sphere of influence in the
banking and private equity market was instrumental in closing the Series A
funding of USD 10 Million for Connect India.
