    Central England Temperature is representative of a roughly triangulthe United Kingdom. It is enclosed by Bristol, Lancashire and LondoThe 2006 extended summer period was the warmest on the long staCentral England Temperature (CET) record dated back to 1659 andSeptember 2006 was warmer than any equivalent period since then.period included the warmest month ever, July, and a record tempera

    During the 20th century, the annual mean central England temperatby about 1.1 C. The 1990s were exceptionally warm in central Englhistorical standards, about 0.6 C warmer than the 1961-1990 avera

Studies of this trend show that it is statistically significant amost of the observed warming since the middle of the twentieth centvery likely caused by human activities.
