Children are happy, staff are tired but happy! I hope parents will join me in saying a huge thank you to all the staff at Bovingdon. Everyone has risen to the many challenges faced over the last couple of months. I would also like to thank the parents who have had to juggle their own jobs with home schooling their children. Parents have also been supportive and caring during this last term. I will really miss Year 6 who had a very different experience celebrating the end of their time at Bovingdon-I must say that they embraced all the “new norms” with resilience and enthusiasm. Good luck to all of you as you go onto this new stage in your lives! I am looking forward to seeing the whole school together again soon. Have a safe and restful summer! She has helped so many children to achieve their potential and has supported the school in countless ways. Her organisational skills are second to none - she would often be found quietly working behind the scenes getting things for lessons, school events and supporting with productions. It has been a joy to have him with us these past couple of years. We wish Mrs Hoy, Mrs Bond and Mr Moran all the best in their future endeavours. Staff Changes

Belonging. Possibilities. Achievement.

Dear Parents and Carers,

What a year of ups and downs! I feel like I have been on a fast moving rollercoaster. When all the children left school on March 23rd none of us really knew what to expect, however I must say that we are all ending on a high here at Bovingdon.

Children are happy, staff are tired but happy! I hope parents will join me in saying a huge thank you to all the staff at Bovingdon. Everyone has risen to the many challenges faced over the last couple of months. I would also like to thank the parents who have had to juggle their own jobs with home schooling their children. Parents have also been supportive and

caring during this last term. I will really miss Year 6 who had a very different experience celebrating the end of their time at Bovingdon-I must say that they embraced all the “new norms” with resilience and enthusiasm. Good luck to all of you as you go onto this new stage

in your lives! I am looking forward to seeing the whole school together again soon. Have a safe and restful summer!

Mrs S Breslin

Mrs Hoy has worked at Bovingdon Primary Academy for nearly twenty years. In her time at the school, she has been a dedicated and valued member of staff. She has helped so many children to

achieve their potential and has supported the school in countless ways. Her organisational skills are second to none - she would often be found quietly working behind the scenes getting things for

lessons, school events and supporting with productions. The extent of her impact at Bovingdon, both in the classroom and behind the scenes is immeasurable. She will be greatly missed by the

Bovingdon team.

Mrs Bond has been with us for seven years. She began her journey as a student-teacher and has been an inspirational teacher ever since. In her time at the school, she has touched the lives of so many. She has an incredible passion and talent for writing which she has brought to the school -

we hope to see some of her poetry published one day! She has taken on a number of roles over her years at Bovingdon, and her impact, both in and out of the classroom, has been felt by students, staff and parents alike. We are so grateful for all she has done over the years and we will really

miss all that she brings to the school.

Mr Moran also trained with us and was a student-teacher in Mrs Bond’s class last year. Having successfully qualified, we were pleased that Mr Moran chose to stay at Bovingdon to complete his NQT year. Over the two years, he has dazzled us with his musical talent, brightened our days with his wonderful sense of humour and brought so much fun and creativity in to his classroom and the

wider school. It has been a joy to have him with us these past couple of years.

We wish Mrs Hoy, Mrs Bond and Mr Moran all the best in their future endeavours.
