Farewell / End of the 3rd GMEA workshop

It is our great pleasure to invite you to Lebanon for the 3rd GMEA workshop on the subject of innovative methods in gastrointestinal endoscopy. GMEA is a Gastrointestinal Workshop Association for Germany, the Middle-East and Africa, which offers a new concept of educational forum for endoscopy and also the evolving field of gastroenterology. The spirit of this innovative approach to education is best reflected by the fact that this meeting will combine workshops on bio-tissue models as well as scientific sessions.

The field of modern endoscopy is rapidly evolving, and new developments and key advances, such as virtual chromoendoscopy, confocal lasermicroscopy, endoscopic sumbmucosal dissection, bleeding management and argon plasmacoagulation, have been achieved. The ability to train on bio-tissues models and apply these new techniques to clinical practice is the primary goal of this workshop. It is the kick-off meeting for GMEA accompanied workshops for 2013, and will continue with ongoing meetings this year in the Middle East region.

To meet the goal and aims of GMEA, workshops will focus on hands-on-courses on NOTES, resection techniques (EMR, ESD) and new imaging modalities (Scan, Laserscan). Together with our partners from the industry we are committed to providing high quality education and training for all participants. Trained by professional experts in their field, you will have the exclusive opportunity to learn and be trained in innovative techniques of gastrointestinal endoscopy, and see established methods from a perspective you have never experienced before. The workshop is accredited by Lebanese German Societies and under patronage of the ESGE.

GMEA seminars and workshops offer an experience which covers the whole of modern gastrointestinal endoscopy in an exciting social environment designed to extend our knowledge, improve our practice and widen our friendships.

Welcome to Lebanon!
