The Sunday Troparion in Tone 8Thou didst come down from on high, Merciful Savior, and accept burial for three

days, that thou mightiest free us from our passions. O Lord, our Life andResurrection, glory to thee.

Troparion for All Saints, in Tone 4Adorned in the blood of Thy martyrs throughout all the world as in purple and finelinen, Thy Church, through them, doth cry unto Thee, O Christ God: Send downThy compassions upon Thy people; grant peace to Thy commonwealth, andgreat mercy to our souls.

Troparion for St. Nicephorus the Confessor, in Tone 4The truth of things revealed the to thy flock as a rule of faith, a model ofmeekness and a teacher of abstinence. Wherefore, thou hast acquired exalted

things through humility and riches through poverty. O father Nicephorus, entreatChrist God, that our souls be saved.

Troparion for the Nativity of the Forerunner, in Tone 4O prophet and forerunner of the coming of Christ, we who honor thee with loveare at a loss how to praise thee worthily; for by thy glorious and honored nativitythou didst loose the barrenness of her who gaveth birth to thee and the mutenessof thy father, and dost proclaim unto the world the incarnation of the Son of God.

Sunday Kontakion in Tone 8Having risen from the tomb, thou didst raise the dead and resurrect Adam, and

Eve dances with joy at thy resurrection. And all the ends of the earth keep festivalat thy rising from the dead, O Most Merciful One.

Kontakion of All Saints, in Tone 4As to creation's Planter, all the world doth offer unto Thee as nature's first-fruitsthe God-bearing Martyrs, Lord, for they bare witness unto Thee. Thus preserveThou Thy Church by their entreaties, O Savior, in the profoundest peace, throughthe pure Theotokos, O Thou Who art greatly merciful.

Kontakion for St. Nicephorus the Confessor, in Tone 4As thou hast received a crown of victory from God in heave, O Nicephorus, savethose who honor thee with faith as a hierarch of Christ and teacher.

    Glory ...

Kontakion for the Nativity of St. John, in Tone 3Today she who before was barren giveth birth unto the forerunner of Christ, andhe is the fulfillment of all prophecy; for laying his hand in the Jordan upon Himwhom the prophets foretold, he hath been shown to be the prophet, herald andforerunner of the Word of God.

    Both now

Theotokion, in Tone 6O unfailing intercessor of Christians, O constant mediatress before the Creator, despise not the cry of prayer of us sinners, but of thy goodness, come speedily tothe help of us who in faith call upon thee. Hasten to offer swift intercession andprayer for us, O mother of God, who ever intercedest for those who honor thee.

The Prokeimenon in Tone 4 Wondrous is God in His saints, even the God of Israel. In congregations bless ye God, the Lord from the well-springs of Israel.

The reading is from the epistle of the Holy Apostle Paul to the Hebrews (11:33-12:2)

Alleluia in Tone 4: The righteous cried, and the Lord heard them, and He delivered them out of alltheir tribulations.

Many are the tribulations of the righteous, and the Lord shall deliver them outof them all.

Come let us rejoice in the Lord, let us shout with jubilation unto God our

Savior. Let us come before his countenance with thanksgiving, and with psalms let usshout in jubilation unto him.

    Gospel: Matthew 10:32-33, 37-38; 19:27-30

Communion verse: Praise the Lord from the heavens, praise him in the highest. Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous, praise is meet for the upright. Alleluia.
