trouble shooting breaking
problem 1:
the machine runs but does not break.
a. Check if mix is correct (should be 1:16 sae 30 or 40 weight oil and regular gasoline).
b. Check tool shank length (should be4-1/4” long measured from collar).Replace if required.
problem 2:
the machine breaks but when downpressure is released it stops running.
a. Machine may require service, call SKIDRIL at 1-800-843-3745
problem 3:
the machine breaks normally untilwarm
a. Fuel mixture may be incorrect checkand replace.
problem 4:
the machine breaks only when throttleis depressed (machine is slowed) orwarm.
a. as this lower section (impact end) ofthe machine is lubricated last it may benormal to warm the machine up in orderto achieve normal breaking action.
b. Fuel mixture may be incorrect checkand replace.

trouble shooting drilling
problem 1:
the machine runs but does not drill.
a. Check that the air holes in bit androd are not plugged, clear if required.
b. Check if fuel mix is is correct (should be 1:16 sae 30 or 40 weight oil and regular gasoline).
c. Check tool shank length (4-1/4” longmeasured from collar). Replace ifrequired.
d. Check bit, if worn, replace.
e. Machine may require service, call SKIDRIL at 1-800-843-3745
problem 2:
the machine drills normally until warm
a. Fuel mixture may be incorrect checkand replace if required.
b. Machine may require service, call SKIDRIL at 1-800-843-3745
problem 3:
the machine drills normally untilseveral inches in the drill hole
a. larger bits (3”+) require pumping thebit in the hole to help cuttings removal.you may have to lift the machine anddrop it back in the hole to pump cuttingsout.
B. The machine is designed to drill rockor concrete only, clear hole of dirt orchips.
C. the drill hole direction cannot bechanged once started as this may causethe bit to stop rotating. straighten inhole and depress throttle to startrotation, then release as more speed isrequired.

Use of the incorrectmixture could damagethe machine and voidthe warranty!
NOTE:NOTE:NOTE:NOTE:
*You can use water (besure to use enough) toclear large/deep holes,by pouring it in thehole.
*Do not attempt to drilldirt or asphalt asdrilling will stop andbit may becomeplugged.
*If the direction of thebit is changed duringdrilling or the drillstops due to cuttings ordirt binding in the hole, lift up on the machineand depress the throttleto start drilling action. Then slowly lower themachine back into thehole. This may also occur with Rebar!
