InvitoIl Software Libero è una tematica di gran-de rilievo in Alto Adige e ha dimostrato sul territorio la propria importanza sia per le imprese, che per la Pubblica Am-ministrazione. Per sostenere il manage-ment e gli esperti a operare scelte sulle infrastrutture IT, la conferenza presenta diversi casi di successo e contribuisce a creare sinergie tra le imprese, le istituzio-ni, gli enti di ricerca e sviluppo, nonché di formazione. Highlight della mattinata sarà l’interven-to di Glyn Moody, giornalista inglese e autore del rinomato “Codice ribelle” del 2001, che racconta la storia di GNU/Linux e della rivoluzione Open Source. In occasione della SFScon 2011 Moody farà una panoramica sull’Open Innova-tion e l’Open Data. La SFScon è un’iniziativa del Centro Free Software & Open Technologies volta a sostenere l’utilizzo del Software Libero nel mondo economico, per il raggiungi-mento sul territorio di un più alto grado di innovazione e di una maggiore com-petitività.

InvitationFree Software is a meaningful topic in South Tyrol and has demonstrated its importance in the local economy as well as in public entities. To support manage-ment decisions and experts about IT in-frastructures, the conference presents best-practice-cases and contributes to create synergies. The Keynote speaker of the SFScon is Glyn Moody. The English journalist is best known for his book “Rebel Code: Linux and the Open Source Revolution”, in which he describes the development and significance of the GNU/Linux op-erating system and open source move-ments. In his contribution to the SFScon Moody will mainly talk about the rela-tionship between Open Data and Open Innovation. The SFScon is an initiative of the Center Free Software & Open Technologies and supports the introduction of Free Soft-ware on the local territory. At the same time the level of innovation activity and the competitiveness should be supported.

Einladung Freie Software ist ein zentrales Thema in Südtirol und hat zunehmend, sei es für lokale Unternehmen als auch für die öffentliche Verwaltung, an Bedeutung gewonnen. Um Unternehmer und Fach-leute in ihren Entscheidungen bezüglich ihrer IT-Infrastrukturen zu unterstützen, stellt die Konferenz verschiedene Best-Practice-Cases vor und fördert die Schaf-fung von Synergien. Hauptreferent der SFScon ist Glyn Moo-dy.Der englische Journalist wurde durch sein Buch „Die Software Rebellen“, in dem er die Entwicklung des Betriebssy-stems GNU/ Linux minutiös beschreibt. In seinem Beitrag bei der SFScon wird Moody hauptsächlich über den Zusam-menhang zwischen Open Data und Open Innovation sprechen. Die SFScon ist eine Initiative des TIS Zen-trums Free Software & Open Technolo-gies und zielt darauf ab, die Anwendung von Freier Software in der Wirtschaft zu verbreiten, um gleichzeitig den Innova-tionsgrad sowie die Wettbewerbsfähig-keit in Südtirol zu steigern.
