How the Saptamsa chart for Ms. Rohini is erected :
i) The lagna or ascendant Cancer 22° 50’ 08 ”. ii) As Cancer is an even sign, the counting of Saptamsa starts from the
opposite sign or rashi, i.e., from Capricorn. iii) The degree of the Ascendant is Cancer 22° 50’ 08, which falls in the
sixth Saptamsa division. Counting sixth sign from Capricorn, we get Gemini. Therefore, Gemini becomes the Saptamsa ascendant.
iv) Sun is in Taurus 14° 41’45”, in an even sign, in the fourth saptamsa. Counting will start from the opposite sign, i.e., Scorpio. Fourth from Scorpio is Aquarius. Therefore, Sun is in Aquarius in the saptamsa chart.
v) Venus is in Gemini 28°54 ’ 55”, which is an odd sign, falling in the seventh sapatamsa . Counting for a planet or point in an odd sign starts from the sign itself, i.e., from Gemini itself. As it is in the seventh saptamsa, Venus will fall in Sagittarius, which the seventh sign from Gemini.
In similar manner, the counting for all the other planets have been done and the saptamsa chart has been erected with reference to the Parashara saptamsa as shown above.

ANALYSIS ON THE NATAL AND SAPTAMSA CHARTS (EXAMPLE CHART OF MS. ROHINI)
The natal chart:
- The Ascendant and 5th house is aspected by a swagrahi Jupiter from the 9th house conjunct with Mars who is the lord of the 5th house.
- The ascendant and 5th house are fruitful signs. - The ascendant lorde, Moon, is not aspected but aspects the ascendant
from the 7th house. - In bhava-5, it is Rahu's Desire to receive the privileges accorded to
political, literary, and theatrical genius. Rahu in the fifth house indicates pleasure in regard to the children, who will be intelligent and have a generous measure of luck in life. This position is also fortunate for an artist, or anyone who is connected with matters that appeal to the mind.
- Normally, it is a belief that Rahu’s presence in the 5th house causes problems nad delays in conception. In the present case, Rahu is aspected by Putra karak Jupiter from the 9th house, conjunct its dispositor Mars.
- A Rahu-5 parent may convert the process of raising children into a self-focused dramatic performance.
- Children might live with foreigners or live in other cultures. The circumstances of their acquisition breaks some type of taboo. Celebrity seeking; fascinating figure; excitement, bright lights, applause - but with a slippery undertow.
- Extremely strong political-theatrical instincts toward self-elevation through risk. However, the full scope of effects depends upon which graha occupy bhava 9, 11, and 1.
- The natal chart has promise for progeny but this should be seen in the D/7 chart.

The Saptamsa Chart:
- The ascendant or lagna of the D/1 charts falls in the sixth saptamsa of Cancer. This makes the native attractive with noble thoughts and sharp features. She is respected in society and a very good speaker.
- The ascendant lord, Mercury is swagrahi (also in the D/1 chart) along with Rahu.
- Jupiter, the Putrakarak conjunct the Sun, aspects the ascendant, Rahu and Mercury and also the Moon (lord of 2nd house) in the 5th.
- Co-incidentally, the Sun and the Moon are in a trikona (trine) in both the D/1 and D/7 charts, which is fortunate.
- The Sun and the Moon are conjunct in the 5th house in the D/9 chart and Rahu is aspected by Jupiter in the 9th house.
RESULTS OF THE D/1 AND D/7 CHARTS FOR PROGENY
The ascendants and 5th houses of both the D/1 and D/7 charts are well-aspect by the putra karak Jupiter from the 9 th house, assuring progeny or conception to the native.
