2. National authorities are requested to take notice of those post numbers mithin the Tables of Authorized. Positions which are marked viith the letter "M". This indicates that a requirement for the services of those particular personnel w i l l exist tip on the announcement of a "Rein-forced Alert" . Immediate and automatic assiéraient of qualified personnel to f i l l those positions should be accomplished upon such announcement by the national authority concerned vfithout waiting for personnel requisi-tions from SHAPE.

and Chief of Staff in NATO and Staff Administration matters. Coordinates administrative activit ies of the Staf f , In this capacity, he supervises and coordinates the activit ies of the various branches and sections of the Admin-istration Division.
a. Legal Branch. Studies the legal aspects relative to both national and international law of the activit ies of COMSTRIKFQRSOUTH. Fur-nishes legal advice and renders assistance to personnel as necessary. ^Repre« sents or assists COMSTRIKFCESOUTH at a l l legal conferences with governmental and military o f f i c ia l s and at other conferences when directed.
b. Budget, Fiscal and Supply Branch. Responsible far providing the CcamTiander with timely information pertaining to budget, f i sca l and supply matters. Works with Staff Divisions in preparation of budget and funding requirements. Works with the Comptroller, Headquarters AFSOUTH in the coor-dination, planning and administration of budget and f iscal matters pertaining to Headquarters STRIKFGRSCUTH. Responsible for procurement, accounting ard disposition of a l l supplies and equipment, other than communications and electronics supplies and equipment, and-U.S. hydrographie charts.
c»- Flag Secretary. Administtrs the Secretarial Section organiza-tion and its assigned personnel. Supervises the handling and routing of a l l o f f i c i a l correspondence. Brings to the attention of Staff o f f icers concerned, a l l conflicting, inconsistent or overdue correspondence. Authenticates a l l multiple addressed, general distribution, and mimeographed correspondence. Ensures that a l l outgoing correspondence is in agreement with regulations, policies and correspondence instructions. Supervises the preparation and ... distribution of Staff Instructions, Orders, Memoranda, and Notices. Responsi-ble for the pertinent provisions , of the current edition of "Standard Opera- . ting Procedure for the Securily System of the North Atlantic Treaty Organi-zation." Responsible for corrections to a l l SECRET and TOP SECRET documents in his custody. Responsible for the preparation and maintaining of an up-to-date version 'of the destruction b i l l far classified material in the Sta f f .
