In their 1954-55 basketball season, the Frank­ton Eagles made quite a record. High scores surprised even the larger teams of the county. After suffering set-backs because of illness a­mong team members, the team made a come­back early in the year 1955 defeating Markle­ville by a score of 82 to 71. Fans nearly fell off their seats when the scores began to soar with Frankton scoring as high as 97 points in the game with Pendleton.

When Frankton scored 80 points in a game against Elwood with their 86 points, Anderson sectional fans began to wonder just what they might expect. That score with a similar one at Alex, 60-55 Alex brought new hope to Eagle fans.

At this writing, as the Eaglite goes to press, even the Anderson Indians, whom we play in the sectional meet, are stewing a bit.

Eighteen games in reg-ular schedule wen' played with four wins against fourteen losses.

GIRLS' AT'HLETIC ASSOCIATION

Athletic games in Frankton High School are not limited to boys. The girls in physical education find time to play a great number of very interesting games along with the reg­ular gym work.

Much of the credit for a good cheering section for the basketball teams can be attributed to the work of members of this organization.

Mrs. Saathoff, in addition to a full schedule of cia room teaching, finds time to devote to the various activitie con­nected with girls' athletics and physical education.
