1969 Crompond Road, Cortlandt Manor, NY 10567
Greetings All – Monday, November 2nd is All Soul’s Day. We have our usual Mass at 9am and we begin a Novena of Masses for all those whose names we have received. If you are on WeShare and/or do not receive our weekly envelopes and would like an All Soul’s Day envelope, please come to the office between the hours of 9am to 2pm Monday thru Thursday to receive one. Please refer to the pages that follow for giving tree information. This year we are having a modified version of our program. As we enter the fall and winter, I want to simply remind everyone to keep up their diligence on masking and social distancing protocols. Of special note, please know that we must keep our masks on and socially distance even when we are in the parking lot outside. From all the indications that I have seen, it appears that the virus is spreading a bit more quickly so please be sure to follow the direction of our ushers and attendants when you are here for Mass. If you should develop any symptoms at all, i.e. coughing, sneezing, please stay at home. We thank everyone for their cooperation and for their continued support during these difficult times.
2021 MASS BOOK OPENS
The 2021 Mass book is now open. If you were not able to be with us, below is one more date that we will be available to book your 2021 Masses in the Parish Activity Center. Please remember that you will need to abide by social distancing and mask protocols. Wednesday, October 28th 10:00 to 11:00am After this date, please call the office to book your Masses over the phone. You all continue to be in my daily prayers and I look forward to the day when we can all be together again. God Bless, Fr. John

Help Reduce Envelope Costs
We hope that those of you using our online giving program, We Share, have found it both convenient and easy to use. We appreciate your efforts and thank you for your continued support of our parish.
If you donate regularly on-line and are still receiving monthly envelopes, please call us so we can remove you from the mailing list.
We encourage everyone to sign up for online giving. You can do so by visiting our parish website https://holyspirit-cortlandtmanor.org and clicking on the link, Online Giving Program. Doing so will help us save on printing and shipping costs.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, you may call the Parish office or email us at [email protected].
First Communion
Congratulations to our First Communicants who came to the table of the Lord for the first time on October 3 and 17. We are grateful for the dedication our second-grade catechists had to the children: Rosemary Badolato, Elizabeth Lenihan, MaryJean Merando, Thomas Payson and Stacy Rohan. We thank the parents of all the First Communicants who continued the lessons at home with the children. May God bless them all.
Religious Education Our Religious Education Program continues to accept registrations. Children can attend in-person classes one time per month and complete the other lessons at home or do all their lessons at home. Please call 914-734-9243. Looking for an engaging way to share your faith? We are still in need of an eighth-grade catechist on Tuesday afternoon and a seventh-grade catechist on Tuesday evening. Thank you.
Envelope Contributions Please mark your envelope with the amount of your contribution, your name and address, so that we are able to record it for your year-end statement. Only envelope users are recorded. If you are not a registered Parishioner we will gladly send you a registration form or go to our website at holyspirit-cortlandtmanor.org.
Feel discouraged?
Your life can be fixed no matter how bad it seems, but you can’t do it alone. Ask for God’s help and He will empower you to make the needed changes. All things are possible with Him.
–Growing in Faith "In the silence of the heart God speaks. If you face God in prayer and silence, God will speak to you. Souls of prayer are souls of great silence."

2020 GIVING TREE PROGRAM
Each year, through the Giving Tree program, the parishioners of the Church of the Holy Spirit generously donate wrapped gifts for less fortunate families in the area. Unfortunately, during this difficult year, we are not able to distribute stars with gift requests, collect gifts and distribute them to hundreds of children and seniors. BUT THERE IS SOMETHING WE CAN DO! This year, we are collecting monetary donations to provide Christmas Dinner, including a ham and treats, for the ever-increasing number of families in need in our community. The dinners will be distributed through the Food Pantry, which provided food to over 300 families in October (triple the number of families from last year). Please make checks payable to: Church of the Holy Spirit and write on the memo line: “Giving Tree/Food Pantry.” On or before December 6TH, please place checks or cash in an envelope marked “Giving Tree” and
Place in the offertory basket at any Mass, or Insert into the mail slot on Church office door, or Mail to Holy Spirit (checks only – do not mail cash)
Your generosity has been overwhelming in the past and we know we can count on you again. This Christmas, obviously, will be different for all of us, and more so for those who have the least. THANK YOU!
