The clean mix of furnishings and materials that so seamlessly come together in the award-winning interior work at Dupuis-Design can be traced, in large part, to the similarly diverse connective elements that influence the firm’s founder. Born in the Philippines and raised in
California by a family of Asian art collectors, Peggy Dupuis would learn
about textile design in Hong Kong before moving to Paris, where her
passion for architecture and interiors blossomed. Her interest in everything
from tapestry work and renovation of period furniture to waxed concrete
finishes and feng shui art continues to find a discerning and highly
appreciative audience in luxury markets throughout the world. “When I set
foot in Paris, I fell in love with the richness of its architecture; it never
ceases to surprise me that you can always discover something new,” says
Dupuis, who has offices in both San Clemente and Paris. “The designers in
Europe [produce] such simple yet tastefully and beautifully orchestrated

An international roster of high-end residential and commercial clients—in locations ranging from California and the Caribbean to Paris—finds inspiration in the clean, sophisticated and harmonious designs of Peggy Dupuis.
Sensitive to ecological constraints, Dupuis designed the home based on a model of low-energy consumption.

projects. How wonderful it is to mix the
old and the new, current design with the
classics in a way that’s never overdone.”
The same can be said of Dupuis-Design’s
uncanny ability to elevate modern spaces
by decorating them in an elegant and
traditional manner that perfectly
integrates inspiration to client desires.
THE POWER OF COMMUNICATIONFirst and foremost, Dupuis describes her
creative process as a dialogue. “The basis
for our design is the client’s taste, vision
and lifestyle,” she says. “Our goal is to
satisfy expectations while also trying to
surprise our clients.” That Dupuis-Design
so consistently exceeds expectations
speaks to the firm’s ingenuity as well as its
impressive network of craftsmen, antique
dealers, artists and technicians. The
results not only can be seen in the team’s
full-service, high-end residential projects
but also in the range of flawlessly
conceptualized and executed commercial
projects—from well-being centers and
spas to boutique hotels. The common
thread is Dupuis’ signature fresh, bright
and functional design that never fails to
result in a harmonious combination of
shapes, colors and textures. Along with
A-to-Z interior design work (space
conversion, material and furnishing
selections, window treatments, lighting
and more), the firm also offers complete
home staging and project management.
“Our success comes not only from design
style that our clients can relate to, but also
the attention and quality service we give
them,” Dupuis says.
