OBJECTIVES

By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to :

1. Blend initial, medial and final sounds in single syllable words in (ear), (air).

2. Segment words into phonemes to spell.

3. Write words correctly.

ACTIVITIES

1. Activity 1 : Pass and Stick each pupil say the phoneme air and ear while passing the sound card. The last pupil in the line will stick the sound card on the board.

2. Activity 2 : Pair and Read pupils are divided into two groups. Each pupil will be given a sound card. Teacher articulates the phonemes and pupils will form the word. then pupils are asked to blend the phonemes and read them aloud.

3. Activity 3 : Circle the Word teacher says the word and the pupils have to compete to circle the corresponding word. then, pupils say the word and segment it correctly.

4. Individually, pupils are asked to complete the exercise in the activity book.
