Special police regulations to be enforced a we k before the inaugural ceremonies on March 4 havebeen drawn up by Major Sylvester whoplaced them in the hands of the Digtrict Commissioners today for their approval
The regulations arefor the preservation of public order protection of lifeand property fixing of ra tes of publicconveyances operation of vehicles andprevention of obstructions on sidewalksor parkings on the day of the paradeand are as follows
Regulating Street TrafficWhen than six hacks coaches
or other vehicles Tind when thantwo motor vehicles are assembling orassembled together it shall be the dutyof any police officer to regulate themanner of their arrival and departuretheir position while Standing and tocause the drivers and ltors thereofto act at all times in an mannerson who shall obstruct any police o fficer in the performance of hs du ties orwho shall refuse to obey ahy ordergiven by a police officer in the discharge of any duty hereunder shall beliable to the penalties hereinafter imposed as set forth in section 15
