4. Response• Memory: Mark 12:28-31 – Do you Hear and Obey?• How do you choose what to do when other people want
to do what is wrong?• What did you learn about pleading with God for Mercy?
Memory: Mark 12:28-314 Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one.
And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

Haftarah: 1 Kings 18:17-39 – Who is God and Who will you serve?
Hebrews 12:28-29 (NKJV)… we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably
with reverence and godly fear.
For our God is a consuming fire.
Exodus 34:6-7 New American Standard Bible (NASB)6 Then the LORD passed by in front of him and proclaimed,
“The LORD, the LORD God, compassionate and gracious, slow
to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth; 7 who keeps lovingkindness for thousands, who forgives
iniquity, transgression and sin;
yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished, visiting
the iniquity of fathers on the children and on the
grandchildren to the third and fourth generations.”
Galatians 5:22-23 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)22 But the fruit of the Spirit is
love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 humility, self control.
Nothing in the Torah stands against such things.
Who is our God?
