5. GET SOME AIR!

Trampoline parks give you plenty of air space to jump around, burning calories and energy in airconditioned comfort. Most offer trampoline aerobicsclasses for adults, along with trampoline dodgeball and basketball, kidfriendly jumps into spongy block pits, toddler times and summer camps.

New to Sky Zone in Ocean Township is a twolane Ninjastyle "warrior course," for visitors 48 inches or taller, as well as a jousting game, a slackladder to test balance, a climbing wall and a "Sky Hoops" basketball game, in which two players compete, along with the existing "Sky Slam" basketballcourt.

Sky Zone in Lakewood has a volleyball court for another team sport by trampoline.

At Sky Zone in Ocean, you can pelt your friends with foam balls and darts shot from spaceage blasters in "SkyWars," a team program thatincorporates games such as capture the flag and duck hunt.

Both Sky Zone locations host Glow, an evening session with lasers, blacklight and DJ music. It's very popular with teens. Both Sky Zones alsohave "sensory hours" in a toneddown, quieter atmosphere for children with autism or other special needs.

Bounce off the walls at Sky Zone and at Air Trampoline Sports in Aberdeen. Check online for summer specials: skyzone.com orairtrampolinesports.com.

Younger kids who are antsy can almost always be mollified by a trip to a traditional bouncy place, where inflatable bounce houses and ball pits provideentertainment, rain or shine. Generally, it costs about $10 per child for a bouncing session of 90 minutes. Local places to bounce include Play DayPlace in Forked River, House of Bounce in Wall, Jumping Jungle in East Brunswick and Bounce U locations in Eatontown, Lakewood, WestWindsor and the Morganville section of Marlboro. For info, go to playdayplace.com, houseofbouncefun.com, jumpingjungle.com or bounceu.com.
