Key EnablersICT solutions, smart components
and systems enable the full electric vehicle
• by providing aware, caring and robust means of power and
energy routing between accumulator cells, battery packs,
motors and the power grid
• by applying adaptive control and power electronic converters
to electric motors and wheels
• by actively enhancing the safety of road transport based on
batteries and lightweight vehicles, and
• by making the driver aware of the availability of energy and
power and of the resulting restrictions in terms of range and
comfort.

Consortium & Associate Partners
Objectives of the CA ICT4FEV• focus on enabling the full electric vehicle (FEV)
by opening new technology paths towards energy
efficiency, functionality and usability that are
complementary to advances in battery cell technology.
• edit a roadmap with milestones and time frames
• make recommendations for policies, regulations, and
standards
• embed the European R&D activities in the domain of
ICT for FEV in a the global context
• build an R&D community of all involved sectors, and
sustaining it as a European organization of think tank
for electric mobility
• support the PPP European Green Cars Initiative
