PAM 2009 Convention kick-starts this 2-5 July 2009 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Malaysia, to congregate PAM members and architects, interior designers, quantity surveyors, engineers, developers, contractors and other building fraternity professionals, all at this one place to build networks, share views and news, source for products and participate in new product launches.

This four-day event brings together ARCHIDEX 09 (10th Malaysia Architecture, Interior Design and Building Exhibition) and several other important and exciting events, held concurrently at this Convention Centre.

ARCHIDEX 09 will showcase more than 800 booths by over 300 companies, locally and from abroad in 6 halls of the Convention Centre. The exhibition is the best platform to source for innovative products of high standards, designs and services for architecture, interior design and the built environment. For the first time also, Austria is the Country Partner of ARCHIDEX 09 and will showcase products and services of some highly reputable Austrian companies.

PAM’s annual International Architectural Design Conference - Datum :Kl 2009 on Basic Design: t he n ew intelligence? and Kl Design Forum 09 brings together fifteen reputable local and international architects and designers. A new addition in this year’s Convention is the Green Building Forum, where the latest issues in green design and green building index shall be presented and discussed.

I take this opportunity to extend a warm welcome to our local and foreign delegates and speakers of DATUM: KL 2009, KL Design Forum 09, Green Building Forum and exhibitors and visitors of ARCHIDEX 09. Few natural materials are as abundant or as central to the formation of the earth’s outer layer as granite. While granite is a desirable material for construction, it is naturally costly. For this reason, there are many substitutes in the market. BY ROADIf you are in a taxi or a chauffeured car, approach the Centre along Jalan Pinang and turn left into the main entrance (second turn after the Mandarin Oriental Hotel) for dropping off.

suria KlCC Car park2. - Exit to the Concourse Level Centre Court. Make your way past Cold Storage to the Guardian Pharmacy where there is a walkway passage to the Convention Centre. Take the elevator at the end of the walkway to the Ground Floor where you will be directed to the exhibition Registration area.

BY TRAINTake the Light Rail Transit (LRT), Putra Line to KLCC station. Turn left after exiting the turnstiles and walk through the Suria KLCC Shopping Centre Concourse Level to the Centre Court. Turn left and make your way past Cold Storage to the Guardian Pharmacy where there is a walkway passage through to the Convention Centre. Take the elevator at the end of the walkway to the Ground Floor where you will be directed to the Registration area.

BY FOOTFrom the Suria KLCC Shopping Centre Ground Floor Centre Court, take the park exit into the KLCC Park and turn right. Follow along the Esplanade towards Mandarin Oriental Hotel and then follow the path around the edge of the park towards the centre of the building and enter via the Park Entrance.
