MARY’S MAGNIFICAT
My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, my spirit rejoices in God my Savior for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant. From this day all generations
will call me blessed: the Almighty has done great things for me,
and holy is his Name.
He has mercy on those who fear him in every generation.
He has shown the strength of his arm, he has scattered the proud in their conceit.
He has cast down the mighty
from their thrones, and has lifted up the lowly. He has . illed the hungry with good things, and
the rich he has sent away empty.
He has come to the help of his servant Israel for he
remembered his promise of mercy, the promise he made to our fathers, to Abraham and his children forever.
Luke 1:46-55

My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most Blessed Sacrament. I love You above all things and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot now receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there, and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.
Hello my Beloved, I am finally back! Some of you noticed I was not here over the last four months. In February, I went to visit my family in Poland. I was supposed to be back on March 1
st, but as all of
you know what has happened around the world, so my flight was cancelled. Because of this I had almost four months vacation at home with my family. It was great to see all of them after three years of not being able to travel back home. My mom was happy not only because I came home, but also because of the virus everything was closed, so I had no opportunity to go anywhere, as I usually do when I am in Poland, traveling to another country or another place in Poland. So I spent all four month at home with mom. Anyway, I had a great time with my parents, my brother, sister-in-law and my nephews. While I was there I was praying for our parish and for every one of you every single day. I am so sorry that after such a long break I am not able to welcome you personally. Hopefully this difficult time is going to finish soon. This Friday, I have left my position at OLM and I am taking on the role of Spiritual Director at Saints Cyril and Methodius Seminary in Orchard Lake, MI. Please keep me in your prayers, as I will keep all of you in my prayers.
Yours in Christ, Fr. Lukasz
Catholics have always honored the Blessed Virgin Mary especially on the first Saturday by praying the rosary. Our Blessed Mother is listening and praying that our Lord will deliver us from every evil.
The 2020 Msgr. John J. Carroll Scholarships given by the OLM Knights of Columbus Council 14493 was awarded to Alyssa Benzija and Sophia Schwab. Alyssa graduated Kinnelon High School and will continue her education at the University of Scranton. Sophia graduated Villa Walsh Academy and will continue her education at Cornell University. We wish them both continued success in all of their future endeavors.

Today’s readings speak to you about participating in living your life in Christ. Saint Paul, in the 2nd reading, asks you; “Are you aware that YOU, who are baptized into Christ Jesus, were baptized into His death, buried and then you were raised with Him in order to live a new life for the Glory of God, through Christ Jesus?” Your baptism is your vocation. Your profession is how you serve others with your gift, fulfilling your baptismal call. What does “living in Christ” look like in the world today? Jesus gives you the answer in today’s Gospel saying; “whoever loses his life for my sake will find it and whoever does not take up his cross and follow after me is not worthy of me.” It simply means you must place Jesus above ALL ELSE by choosing His ways, even when it is difficult or inconvenient. It means doing small acts of kindness with great love. It is a smile, a kind word or listening with a compassionate heart. It is making time for those who are in need. It means sacrifice and selflessness. It means surrendering ALL because of your love for God. Belonging to Christ takes courage. Are you up for the challenge? ALL ARE CALLED BUT FEW SAY “HERE I AM LORD, I COME TO DO YOUR WILL.” Would you like to become Catholic or complete your Sacraments? Why not join the RCIA team every Thursday at 7:00pm in the Parish House and let the Holy Spirit increase your Faith. Please call Carol Mangani at 973-283-2218.
The Ladies Guild will be selling beautiful notecards with pictures of the OLM Church and Chapel. More information and order forms to follow.

English food pantry, where the shelves are bare. If you would like to make a donation directly to the food pantry visit, https://ccpaterson.org/donate in the comment section, indicate that the donation is for Father English. God bless all our supporters as we help those who are less fortunate.
JUNE RAFFLE WILL BE DRAWN ON SAT - JUNE 27TH
IN CHURCH
First Reading: 2 Kings 4:8-11, 14-16a A woman in Shunem believed strongly in the holiness of the prophet Elisha. To reward her, Elisha promised that she and her aging husband would, within the year, be the parents of a son. Second Reading: Romans 6:3-4, 8-11 Paul explains to the Romans that by immersion in water at baptism, they “die” to their sins; by rising from the water, they rise from “death and sin” to new life in Christ. Gospel: Matthew 10:37-42 With simplicity, Jesus tells his apostles that everyone should love him above all others -- father, mother, son or daughter. He adds, “He who welcomes you, welcomes me.”
