2nd NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON
MATERIALS FOR ENERGY CONVERSION AND STORAGE
(MECS-2016)

DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS, PONDICHERRY UNIVERSITY

Energy Science Society of INDIA (ESSI)
The aim of the conference is to bring together high-level experts and young research scholars from
different parts of country to discuss the fundamental issues, the state of the art and the newest
development of materials for energy storage and conversion. It would be focused on emerging material
technologies for both the energy conversion and storage ranging from solar, nuclear, hydrogen, fuel cell
to energy storage devices like batteries and super capacitors.
WHO CAN APPLY?
The conference is open to research scholars, faculties and industry who are working in the area of theoretical or experimental works on energy
materials. A few selected participants who are unable to meet travel expenses from their host institution will be provided to and fro rail fare as
per the availability of the funds.
