My LoTTE kit touches on the disabilities that we covered on the on-line classes we had the last

couple of weeks. I have many objects in my kit that have deal with Oral communication, such

as speech and language. I have tools that help with student’s ability to hear how a word is said

and how it is spelt out by an electronic dictionary. Also I have a recorder that students could

use to help them with pronouncing words and or have a story recorded on there so the student

can listen to it. I have activities that involve working with phonemes and understanding

different types of vowels and how they sound. I added things such as graphic organizers,

highlighters, post it notes, and changeable cover folders so student will be able to pick out main

ideas and concepts and be able to organize and identify them. I added a couple of game that

help students express themselves in a fun and meaningful way. I also added reading trackers so

if the student struggles with reading and comprehension the student can track one sentence at

a time and not skip lines. I also added a pocket schedule for students who struggle with

following directions and remembering what they are supposed to be doing. I could use those

pockets and put writing cues in them that the student could choose from. A comprehension

cube was put in the kit to help students think outside the box and to help them understand why

certain things happened in the story.
