AURORA...The chirping of the birds waken me from my slumber.
Resisting the urge to creep back under the cover,
I tiptoe my way to the balcony, not to perturb the
Blackbird glancing piquantly towars me.
The splendor that meets my eyes stills my feet-
The dreaming city alight with the vibrant hues of
crimson...
The sky with a bridal blush;
Awaiting the advent of its brilliant groom.
The sun playing peek-a-boo with the clouds.
Like a child opening its eyes
for the first itme to look at the world.
I feel the wonder, the beauty strikes me anew.
Hush, the breeze seems to whisper into my ears,
Silencing my gasp of surprise,
Waving its caressing fingers thorough my wild locks...
Hanging at a precipice
The whole world seems to hold still-
As nature serenades itself in all its glory!

Stargazing...
You came and I forgot how to write...But I dont need words now;
you can read my eyes.
You came and I forgot how to dance...
But I dont need any rhythm;
because with each step together I fly.
You came and I know why I breathe
I am shedding my cocoon,
to hide inside your sheath.
You came and I am losing me...
So dont break this dream
Because all Ive got is we.

Movie review : Tanu weds ManuSHAADI MUBARAK, BARATEES NO WHERE TO BE SEEN
The film had everything in the making. Brought
together by the makers of Rang de Basanti
was a promising cast, a storyline that would
catch the eye of any desi bollywood lover and
a rocking Punjabi number for promotion. The
question was can they repeat it. Thats what I
went to see. Heres what I got!!!
Manoj sharma a.k.a MANU (Madhavan) an NRI
doctor from London returns home on a holiday.
He is greeted at the airport by his dad, dear
friend (PAPPI) and his classical Indian mommy
with a list of POTENTIAL BAHUS held high in
her hand. After a long war, Manu finally
succumbed to his moms never say die attitude
and agreed to meet a few of them.
The search starts from none other than
KANPUR (thanx to pappu we really felt at home
during these scenes). Manu gets an
overwhelming welcome from the to be in-
laws, but the bride is no where to be seen.
Finally he is told that the bride wanted to meet
him alone, though the reality was that Tanuja
Trivedi a.k.a Tanu(Kangana Ranaut) was
unwilling to meet him and had drunk herself
out. Though shes unconscious M anu falls in
love with her, totally enchanted by her beauty.
He says yes instantly.
After this the story turned out to be a
complicated set of many entries and exits,
proposals and denials, honesty and betrayal
and many expected and unexpected turns.
Director Anand L. Rai tries hard to give his
direction a modern touch with scenes and
dialogues targeted at the new generation but
failed with his efforts. A couple of good
sequences were all he could manage. The
movie fails to bind the viewer. The storyline
takes too many vague turns and you loose
interest midway. Madhavan is good in pieces
though Ranauts performance is lack lusture.
Shergil too fails to fulfil expectations. The one
person who steals the show by delivering some
nice punches is Manus friend, Pappi (Deepak
Dobriyaal).
All in all, the movie isnt up to the mark. The
makers of Rang De Basanti fail to create the
magic once again. A waste of three hours unless
youre as free as a bunch of first years at aiims
after their 2nd mid sem. Personally speaking,
the ongoing world cup is a much better option
and what could be better than to see India
there in the finals after having delightful
victories over the Pakis and Aussies!!!
In the end there is this one important question
that still lingers in my mind :
YAAR SAB DESI LOVE STORIES MEIN LADKI KA NAAM HI PEHLE KYUN AATA HAI

INSTITUTE IS GOING TO THE DOGS!!
Cave canum- Beware of the dog
Folks, this needs some urgent attention Every
time some soul traverses the stretch from the
CDEx to the Sixth hostel (read- The Dog
Neighbourhood), the nerve is tense, the pulse
quickening, fear, anxiety, and lots of Crazy
thoughts rule the mind. For he does not want to
disturb the Dogs- Somehow the GODS here. They
hunt in packs! One lonely soul against the bunch
of beasts. THIS has gone far too long and there
have been fatalities (I heard about Aatif injuring
himself, on the run). Personal experience: attacked
many a times. But somehow saved myself.
It is not the only area where they reside. They
have many territories scattered all over the
institute and they intelligently change it during the
day
But how long?? I am tired of being scared. INDIA
is a free country and you cant just walk free at
night coz its a dog zone,,, this is way insane??
These creatures roam casually in our hostels, eat
our leftovers and then attack us..very very
ungrateful of them. Sometimes I feel like getting a
shotgun with me and shooting them all at once!!
But,,surely there can be an amicable solution to
this DogMESS. I must say that the Institute isgoing to the DOGS...S.U do something!!
I dont want to die of rabies!!

Margret: The Bougainvilleas...
30 years ago, the General was outraged to find his son, Richard standing on his doorsteps toannounce his final decision...
To announce the fact his efforts to bring up his son as a man of principles anddetermination were so successful. But the only irony was that his sons principles wereentirely different and he was even more determined than his father to make a mark. Thou ghborn and brought up under the magnificent umbrella of authority over his head and rollingred carpets under his feet; he was the one who always wanted to roll with the wind anddistance him from everything that he was somehow destined to have... I had s een that revoltin his eyes when I first entered his home as his English tutor...
He was invariably curious and opining; sharp and sincere. He didnt know for sure where hislife was going at the age of 18 but all that he wanted was to discover more and mo re of theworld and strictly not in the military jacket. The first time I met him, my aim was toacquaint this young boy with the high tea culture of Britain where he was supposed toreceive an honorary medal.
London was like my second home but it was nev er so beautiful. All of sudden my world wasinfused with a gush of life and I was feeling as if I was reborn when I was spending my timewith Richard. I was so accustomed to his habit of rushing into my room, holding my handand dragging me all the way out of the hotel, just to see another dilapidated structured
covered with moss which according to him had a history of somebodys lifetime. He always wanted to live life on an edge. Adventure, discovery, dreams and encountering hisnightmares were somehow his passion. Just like that on a day when we were out in thegrasslands he was shouting loud to me... actuallyMargret, I think I want to spend my lifewith somebody who is not like me or my mother. Actually I want to marry to marrysomeone like you... hey , why not you....!!!
Youve gone mad little boy... And certainly he had...
There was no stopping for his spirit and before I could know I was trapped in his charm... Ihad never thought of this happening to my life, but I decided to marry a boy seven ye ars
younger to me... oh my god... Who would have thought of this before... our way back to Pariswas full of trouble...
