Dear Parent or Guardian of ________________________________________________________,
It’s time to prepare for your student’s senior year at Plano West. All current junior students and their parents/guardians are invited to an individual academic conference with their Plano West counselor. Eleventh grade academic conferences take place starting in February and continuing through mid- March. Please use the web address below to schedule a conference with your student’s counselor:
This website will be active from Jan 21 – Jan 31 so please schedule your conference as soon as possible. If you do not select a conference time online through Calendly, a date and time will be selected for your student.
To prepare for this meeting, students and parents should review the academic conference video available on the counseling page of the Plano West website to review graduation requirements and senior course options. Website address: https://www.pisd.edu/domain/2498 1. Select Pre-Conference Video 2. Select Senior Schedule Worksheet

Course Selection and Schedule Change Request Information
Students can make changes to course requests, with parent permission, March 16 through May 22, 2020
Students may make changes to schedules, on a seat availability basis, through the Friday before school begins
No schedule changes will be made the first three weeks of school
Students will be allowed to make level changes (no elective changes), on a seat availability basis, during weeks4-6 of the first nine weeks using the Advanced Academic Course Withdrawal Process
The next opportunity to make a level change will occur at the end of the first semester
Due to the large number of conferences needed to meet with each individual student and his/her family, we are unable to reschedule conference dates/times once the schedule link closes (Jan 31). If you are unable to attend the conference, the counselor will meet with your student, and an academic conference summary will be sent home with your student.
Parents/Guardians planning to attend the conference are advised to park in VISITOR PARKING in front of Building A on Parker Road. Additional parking is available in the lot north of the gym or behind the auditorium near the marching band pad. Everyone must in with the receptionist in the front office for a visitor’s pass. Parents and guardians will need to present a driver’s license when checking in at the front office.
Schedule your student’s academic conference at the website link on the next page.
