Litter in Numbers• Most litter happens within 5 metres

of a garbage can.1

• On average, a person will carry garbage 12 paces before littering.1

• Enough plastic is thrown away each year to circle the Earth 4 times.2

• A glass bottle can take up to 1 million years to biodegrade.1
