PACKAGE DESCRIPTION: The IPC 11550 system is an All Variable-Speed Chilled Water Plant Controller that controls 2 Variable Speed Chillers, Chilled Water Pumps, Condenser Water Pumps and Cooling Tower Fans. The system is configured for a Dedicated Pump-Chiller arrangement, incorporating Hartman LOOP® Technology. The IPC System has three separate Control Panels.

1. The IPC 11550 Master Panel. 2. The IPC 3500 Pump Chiller Station Panel 3. The ITC 3600 Tower Control Panel.

The devices that control the IPC 11550 are the Temperature and Flow Sensors that are wired / connected to the IPC Panel. There are Six Moore Industries T2X RTD Temperature Transmitters. They are sensing.

1. Chilled Water Supply Temperature 2. Chilled Water Return Temperature 3. Condenser Water Supply Temperature 4. Condenser Water Return Temperature 5. Outdoor Air Temperature 6. Chilled Water Flow

The IPC 11550 Controller also controls Two System Isolation Valves and One CHW Bypass Valve. The IPC 11550 system includes appropriate control and sequencing logic for a variable primary chilled water plant using variable speed / flow centrifugal chillers including; tower fan speed, condenser water pump speed, tower control, variable primary distribution pump speed control, chiller sequencing, plant protective sequences, trending, remote control over IP and serial communications. IPC 11550 INTRODUCTION: The IPC 11550 HMI (Human Machine Interface) is divided into three sets of displays: Operation, Setup, and Alarms and Troubleshooting. The Operation Displays are used by the operators to view and control the HVAC Variable Speed Primary Pumps and Variable Speed Condenser Pumps. The Setup Screens are used to set, view, save, and restore the systems specific settings (i.e. number of pumps, zone range, zone setup, min/max speed, etc.). The Alarm Management screens are used to display the current alarms, able to store unlimited alarms, record time and date stamp and list in alarm history and a general fault description when an alarm is activated.

IPC 11550 SETUP DISPLAYS: The Setup Displays are divided into three levels; levels 1, 2 & 3 each have the same number of displays with different level of access. Level 1 setup displays are for viewing only and no adjustments can be made. Level 2 setup displays can be used for restoring the system. Level 3 setup displays can be used for changing the complete system setup parameters, saving and restoring the system factory defaults and changing access passwords. To access Level 1, 2 & 3 an operator needs to enter the appropriate password that is provided to them by their administrator. The Level 2 Setup Screens also have a set of “Restore Default Settings” to restore the default setup values on each screen. The Level 3 Setup Screens have a set of “Restore Default Settings” and “Save Default Settings” to restore or save the default values on each screen.

The list of Setup Displays is as follows:

• Chilled Water Pumps • Condenser Pumps • Cooling Tower • Chillers • Sensors Setup • Bypass Valve PID • Hartman LOOP® • Clock Setup • Email Setup • Save / Restore Parameters • HMI Management • BAS

1.8 Help Line Access: For any related issues with ARMSTRONG IPC Controllers, Please call our After Sales Service Department. 1- 416- 755- 2291 1.9 Sample IPC 11550 Remote Access Installation Instructions: In order to install the remote access software you need the following files: 1. DAQFactoryR5Inst_V35.exe 2. IPC_11550_Br_Remote.ctl 3. A folder called IPC11000 Note 1: The IPC11550 uses ports 2345 to 2348 to communicate. If the IPC11550 is behind a firewall make sure those ports are not blocked. Note 2: When you connect to the IPC11550 the remote connection (your local computer) takes full control of the panel in the mechanical room. Anybody trying to operate the plant from the panel at the mechanical room will not have control until the connection is finished. • Step 1: Installing DAQFactory.

Double-click on DAQFactoryR5Inst_V535.exe, the following pop-up screens appear. Click next, accept the agreement and enter the path shown to install DAQFactory.
