the 200 MLD Water Treatment Plant at
Surajpura, Rajasthan to enhance the existing
capacityfrom400MLDto600MLD.Withthe
newtreatmentplant,watersupplytoJaipurcity
will be increased to cover newly developed
colonies and other areas to reduce the city’s
dependence on ex i s t ing sources and
consequently bring down pressure on the
groundwater.TheWaterTreatmentPlantare
capabletotreatrawwaterfromBisalpurDam
taking into account the variation in raw
waterqualitythroughouttheyearandpossible
deterioration in future to stipulated treated
water quality and quantity. The project was
inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister of
RajasthaninDecember2015.
