Reverse Sensing System(1)

• Uses four ultrasonic sensors in the rear bumper to detect certain obstacles near the rear of the vehicle

• Sensors detect obstacles up to 1.7 meters (about 6 feet) to the rear

• When the sensors detect an obstacle, a beepsounds from a dedicated speaker in the rearinterior of the vehicle

• As the vehicle nears the obstacle, the beepsincrease in frequency. Once the obstacle is within10 inches of the rear bumper, the beep becomescontinuous

• This is a convenience feature, not a safety feature.The driver still needs to visually check for objectsor pedestrians before shifting into Reverse andwhile backing up
