Featuring a fun, comfortable design that fits right into the warm, seaside scene,Honda’s perky little Wallaroo makes a perfect little runabout for running lighterrands or just getting around town. Built like a moped, with motorcycle-like pegsinstead of a scooter-like floorboard, the Wallaroo’s large, 16" wheels ensure confident handling, while its spacious, well-padded seat provides a comfortableperch for rides both short and long.

In a traditional moped market that is coming back into fashion, the Honda PK50 Wallaroo standsapart from the crowd. It is the mostmodern moped in the market, withall the benefits of Honda’s welter-weight bike technology. As a result,the Honda Wallaroo has storagespace under the seat, very modernalloy wheels, single rear arm, widediameter drum brakes and, in parti-cular, a fully enclosed twin variatordrive belt. This means the Wallaroo

can pride itself on being a very cleanmoped. In fact, the Wallaroo bringsall the technical solutions of thescooter to the moped. Modern, hi-tech, comfortable, responsive, easyto handle and quite safe, the Wallaroois also a model of dependability.

The PK50 heads for the beach intwo main versions:The kickstarter-equipped ‘Standard’version comes available in twotypes, the Y-type ‘Moped,’ which

can be ridden by riders 16 andolder with a helmet, and the lowerpowered S-type ‘Mofa,’ which canbe ridden by riders 14 and olderwithout a helmet. The electricstarter-equipped ‘Deluxe versionalso comes available in two types,the full-powered M-type ‘Moped,’which can be ridden by riders 16 andolder with a helmet, and the loweroutput SM-type ‘Mofa,’ which canbe ridden by riders 14 and olderwithout a helmet.

The Standard versions are repre-sented by solid single colours andthe Deluxe versions feature agradated two-tone effect that fadesfrom the darker main body colour toa lighter shade at its front and rear.For the year 2000, all the Wallaroo’scolour variations are carried overfrom the previous year. The Standardversion’s three colours include a

broadly popular basic black, a chic,urban blue and a light and sporty-looking red that really stands outon the street. In its Deluxe version,the Wallaroo takes on a more matureexpression in subtly sparklingmetallic black, and a look of sedateluxury in dark metallic green.Wheels on all variations are paintedbright silver.
