PURPOSE & SCOPE

In accordance with instructions, I proceeded to the Savannah Yacht Club, Savannah, Georgia, where the above captioned vessel was located afloat. The purpose of this survey was to inspect the vessel for condition and valuation related to prepurchase and insurance purposes. During the course of the survey the buyers, sellers and brokers were onboard. The vessel was operated by the seller. A sea trail was conducted on the Wilmington River on the ICW. During the course of the survey the genset was run and electronics powered up. The sea trial lasted approximately 1.5 hours. Mechanical surveys were not requested or conducted, related to the main engines and genset. They performed well at sea trial. The following is a description of the vessel, her equipment, machinery and inventory. Remarks, Recommendations and General Condition statements follow at the end of the report.

CORROSION

There are various types of corrosion that effect all types of metal used in vessel construction, above and below the waterline. This is a subject that all boat owners should be familiar with in order to identify and recognize what is occurring with these materials. Types of corrosion can occur in both fresh water and salt water. This survey does not include the removal, other than readily accessible areas, of any mechanically secured items, or items not readily accessible by usual means without mechanical assistance.

HULL

Type Hull: Round chine, raked stem, square transom, V-bottom with a shallow draft full run keel with spade stainless steel rudders and V struts between the hull and the keel. VESSEL MAINTENANCE

Excellent: XXXX Good: ---- Poor: ---- Very Good: ---- Fair: ---- Undesirable: ---- Remarks: Extremely well maintained vessel. The vessel has been maintained by a very knowledgeable owner, Hinckley Yacht Services, Inc., and subcontractors as needed. Very good maintenance is apparent throughout the vessel from the hull below the waterline to the topside hull, deck and house. The machinery in the engine room is in spotless condition to include both main engines, genset and other engine room equipment and machinery. One of the most well maintained vessels I have surveyed in years. The seller of the vessel is a perfectionist. That is apparent throughout the vessel.

HAUL OUT

The hull was pressure washed. The antifouling paint is adhering well and uniform in appearance throughout. The cutlass bearings were checked and found tight. The rudders were checked and found tight and within good tolerance. The propellers were dialed in and found within 1/8” tip to tip, which is acceptable with the RPM the props are turning. The struts were checked and

12

HAUL OUT found free of exception. The Naiad stabilizers appear in good condition. The through hull fittings are securely mounted. The hull was sounded and found without exception. The overall appearance of the hull below the waterline would be considered very good.

SEA TRIAL

Conditions: Top of outgoing tide, calm seas and light winds. At time of survey fuel and water onboard: 400 to 500 gallons diesel. 275 gallons of water. In use at sea trial from the genset: 3 AC units – Ice maker – engine room lights – bridge freezer – refrigerators – inverter charger. SPEED TRIALS: 7 knots at 1600 RPM’s 7 knots at 1800 RPM’s 8.1 knots at 2000 RPMS = approximately 5 gallons per hour. 9.1 knots at 2575 RPMS = approximately 12 gallons per hour. At various RPM’s vibration within normal range. ELECTRONICS: Furuno chat plotter/radar powered up. Weak screen. Electronics all powered up and produced. ENGINE GAUGES AND INSTRUMENTATION: The engine gauges and instrumentation within normal operating range, both stations.

GENERAL CONDITION

Hull Below The Waterline: The hull below the waterline was found in overall very good condition

13

GENERAL CONDITION as sounded. Refer to Haul Out. No exceptions were noted on the hull below the waterline. TOPSIDE HULL: The topside hull has very good high gloss throughout. The hull is compounded and waxed frequently and was found without exception related to scuffs or dings. DECKS AND DECKHOUSE: Very good appearance throughout the deck and deckhouse related to gloss and general appearance. There are some gelcoat cracks noted in the recommendations. These are few in number and can be addressed with a gelcoat repair as needed. None of the gelcoat cracks other than on the portside overhang are structural in nature. INTERIOR: The interior of the vessel is extremely well maintained. No evidence of any seeps or water staining. The interior is primarily wood finished with both satin and high gloss varnish. All of the soft goods are in good condition. The housekeeping throughout the vessel has been excellent and this is reflected in the overall appearance of the interior to include the main salon, galley and accommodation spaces. ENGINE ROOM: The engine room is extremely clean and well organized. Both main engines are well painted with no signs of any seepage or weeps. The diesel engines are securely mounted on the engine beds. A back down test was conducted and they were found steady on the mounts. Overall the engine room has been meticulously maintained. SUMMARY: This is one of the most attractive well maintained trawlers I have looked at in some time. It is above average in all respects. The electronics are operable, but somewhat dated. The new buyers are going to install a new electronics package.

# REMARKS RECOMMENDATIONS 1. The stainless steel half round on the starboard Address accordingly.

# REMARKS RECOMMENDATIONS side terminates into the side of the anchor chute. It is off of the teak cap rail approximately 3/8” extending over approximately 4”. The gap between the half round and the teak cap rail appears to be filler that is dislodged.

2. The starboard side foredeck molded in locker has a split on the seam on the underside. This is allowing moisture into the core of the top.

Prep, glass and paint accordingly.

3. There are dome lights on the overhang above the walkways and on the brow. The switches for the lights are stiff or non-functioning.

Service the overhead dome lights.

4. Replace the handle on the foredeck freshwater washdown.

Address accordingly.

5. The deck has a molded-in non-skid pattern, main deck. The bulwark is gelcoated up to the non-skid. There are areas on the portside starting basically in the area of the 50 amp shorepower cable and extending back randomly to the step-up to the aft deck. Approximately six (6) areas. It is revealing the original color of the non-skid below the gelcoat. Nonstructural. Cosmetic issue.

Address accordingly.

6. In the galley area there are two (2) areas of water intrusion just forward of the sink. These are dry. These are not leaks, but rather seepage from water that was on the counter. The portside entrance door into the salon has some discoloration in the teak veneer. This is structurally sound.

This can be addressed with very light sanding or left as is. Presently not leaking.

7. Have the Epirb serviced and tagged. Address accordingly. 8. The two (2) upper hoses coming into the

forward holding tank are beginning to develop crystallization on the outer covering of the hose indicating the hose is approaching the end of its usable life as sanitary hose.

Near term replacement. Replacing these hoses will eliminate the slight methane odor coming from the tanks.

15

# REMARKS RECOMMENDATIONS 9. In the forward head overhead there is a

crack in the Formica extending out to either side. Also a crack in the Formica coming out of one corner of the medicine cabinet. Beyond the crack in the Formica, the subsurface is structurally sound.

Address accordingly.

10. Have the fixed fire extinguishing system inspected.

Address accordingly.

11. Install CO detector in all accommodation spaces.

Address accordingly.

12. Run a caulk seam on the exterior side of the portside forward window just forward of the ¾ opening door. This needs to be cleaned and a ¼” seam of polyurethane caulk laid in both the portside window and the starboard side window.

Address accordingly.

13. Naiad stabilizers: slight leak at pressure gauge on reservoir.

Address accordingly.

14. Slight seep from the portside raw water feed into the packing gland.

Address accordingly.
