Background and methodology

§ This PowerPoint report presents summary findings from the 2013 Sutton Residents’ Survey for the Sutton South, Cheam & Belmont Local Committee Area. The survey was conducted by independent researchers Ipsos MORI on behalf of Sutton Council.

§ The purpose of the survey is to provide robust measures of residents’ perceptions of where they live, Council services, communication with the Council and community engagement.

§ The survey was carried out in-home using Computer Assisted Personal

Version 1 | Internal Use Only© Ipsos MORI

§ The survey was carried out in-home using Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) with a representative sample of 1,031 residents across the Borough aged 16+, between 11 October and 17 November 2013.

§ The results for Sutton South, Cheam & Belmont are based on 185 interviews with residents living in the LCA. This relatively low base size means results presented in this report should be treated with a degree of caution.

§ A detailed breakdown of results for all questions, including demographic and attitudinal crossbreaks, is provided via the main report, full data tables and topline documents (available separately).
