We are offering training on the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and the introduction to Incident Command System (ICS 100). The Department of Homeland Security requires the completion of these courses to be eligible for FEMA funding. Twelve hours of ODEQ approved water/wastewater operator renewal training is also being offered. This program will address your professional training needs. For updates on the agenda and to print additional registration forms, please visit the websites http://oklahoma.apwa.net or www.owea.org. Our audience will include professionals from all areas of public service, including water/wastewater operations, fleet management, street maintenance, engineering design and public works management. Invitations are being sent to engineers, private sector consultants, public works directors & administrators, water and wastewater departments, street superintendents, utility departments, equipment operators, county commissioners, tribal personnel and other public service entities. To kick off the technical conference, the annual golf tournament will be held on Monday, May 7th. The conference training sessions will be held in the North Ballroom of the Biltmore Hotel located at I-40 and Meridian in beautiful Oklahoma City. Hotel reservations can be made by calling the Biltmore at 405-947-7681. Please mention the APWA/OWEA Conference for a special rate of $64 + tax per night. Our block of rooms will be held until April 24th. After this date, rooms will be available as space allows. The registration fee for this tremendous two-day conference is a great value considering the cost of “out-of-state” training and includes admission to seminars, all class materials, entrance to the trade show, continental breakfasts, lunch on both days and all refreshment breaks. Exhibits will be in the South Ballroom of the Biltmore Hotel with parking lot space reserved for equipment displays and product demonstrations. APWA Oklahoma Chapter and OWEA awards ceremonies and business meetings will also be held during the conference. What a great opportunity for two days of information packed seminars, exhibits and networking opportunities at this conference. We look forward to seeing you at the Biltmore in Oklahoma City. If you have questions, comments, special needs or would like information to be an exhibitor, please contact Rita by calling 800-772-4678 or [email protected].
