Following the success of the surveys on standards and certificates that have been conducted in previous years the OHSAS Project Group was requested to conduct a similar survey for 2007.
A summary of the results is presented below, with the full data given on the next page of this file.
For several reasons, the OHSAS Project Group was unable to receive inputs from a number of the contributors to the 2006 survey. This should be taken into account when analysing the 2007 data. Additionally, while a number of contributors gave separate indications of OHSAS 18001:1999 versus OHSAS 18001:2007 certifications, overall we had insufficient data on this separation, so have chosen to combine this data.
The growth in the number of certificates has been significant over this period with approximately a 27% rise in comparison to 2006.

Today 7 certification bodies are accredited to certify against AFS 2001:1, Systematic Work Environment Management. Those regulations are issued by the Swedish Work Environment Authority and are available in English from their web site www.av.se.
AFS 2001:1 (with 2003 changes), Systematiskt Arbetsmiljöarbete (Systematic Work Environment Management.)
Accreditation is done against STAFS 2000:9, SWEDAC regulations for bodies certifying Occupational Health and safety Management Systems. Base for accreditation is EN 45012.
Also an important factor of the scheme is that SWEDAC technical committee supervising the scheme consists of the different employers and employees organisations.
