One major challenge against healthy eating is the lack of knowledge that healthy meals can be delicious ones too.
Online share-and-rate communities can enable worldwide pooling of recipes so that users are exposed to the possibilities.
Bento is a smart refrigerator-cum-cooktop that has an automated inventory, and a virtual nutritionist, making it a convenient, one-stop solution to access healthy recommendations online (based on ingredient availability and user pro�le), and then to prepare the nutritious meals quickly.

It has a unique one-handed method of application that is intuitive and easy, even for less dexterous �ngers. The experience and aesthetics communicate care and comfort instead of a notion of pain.
This invention is particularly suitable for chronically unhealing wounds like diabetic ulcers/pressure sores.

Romanceemotional addressing
Emotional addressing is the intentional evocation of user emotions via a product or a space. It opens up another level of connection between people and design, creating the competitive edge of emotional experience and attachment, beyond function or physical form.
The Romance room sculpture uses a careful concoction of proportions, surfaces and other details, to create an experience of romance for the user who sits in it. He/she may not even know what caused it!

Romance is the enchanting, dance-like dialog between two contrasting entities, which though being ironically di�erent, always complement harmoniously and sensuously. Their interaction is always intimate, graceful and full of hope, anticipation and promise.

The �ner points of Romance:Security & intimacy, yet with a sense of personal space and freedom Seclusion, yet balanced with a feeling of openness
Romance is about the soft against the hard, the sti� against the �uid, the tender against the strong. It is intimacy, but requires freedom to be magical. It craves seclusion but without openness it soon becomes stale. It has a playful motion and anticipation of progression, but yet you’ll want to freeze that moment in time and let it linger.

Sketches examined how di�erent forms and proportions evoked di�erent feelings. The e�ect of material quality, surface movement, and gestics are also explored.

Miniature and full-sized models were used to test the emotional e�ects, material quality and explore construction feasibility. Image searches helped stimulate greater variety of thought.

Using the Proportion-Surface-Detail (PSD) methodology by BMW DesignworksUSA, the subcontexts were analysed to identify the main level in which each of them exerted its main in�uence.

Within each subcontext, the ideas were classi�ed into those that worked and those that did not. These formed the guiding maps for composing the �nal room sculpture.

Using the guiding subcontext tables, �nal experimentation was done at full scale to compose a coherent room sculpture. User tests were used to ascertain the emotional addressing e�ect.

Upon design �nalization, it was �ne-tuned and hand-sculpted out of foam. This formed the positive mold for the hand lay-up of the glass �bre.

Winner, Wine4Asia Structural Packaging Competition 2005Design in production by Far East Packaging Pte Ltd, used for Wine4Asia Expo Singapore
Bordeaux Bliss wine packaging is designed for the biggest marketing impact with the lowest environmental and economic costs.
Reminiscent of wine cellars and showcasing the wines, it literally turns every customer into a walking display... but remains practical, logical and simple.
Folded from a single sheet of cardboard, it is easy to manufacture, saves materials and stores in �at sheets. It is intuitive and quick to set up, requires no adhesives, but remains structurally strong for a 4-bottle load.

Production-friendlyPractical, sustainable and economical - Bordeaux Bliss is entirely producible from a �at sheet of card, with single-sided printing. Instead of using more materials or components, it uses the folds to create compartments, enhance structural strength, minimise section thickness... and requires no adhesives.

For the purpose of cash-and-carry exhibitions, BordeauxBliss is designed for �atness, speed of setting up, room for brand label, and clever publicity - each carrying customer is literally a walking advert / showcase.
