SAVANA 2500 SERIES in Silver Birch Metallic shown with available equipment. Silver Birch Metallic is an extra-cost color.

SAVANASAFETY BEGINS WITH PRO GRADE ENGINEERING. The 2008 Savana passenger van is a perfect example of advanced engineering

dedicated to safety and performance. It is designed to be the safest full-size

van ever produced by GM, with a range of features such as all-new head-

curtain side air bags1 and the StabiliTrak® vehicle stability enhancement

system. In addition, 2007 Savana 1500 Series passenger vans have earned

the prestigious fi ve-star frontal crash safety rating in U.S. Government safety

testing.2 Savana 1500 Series models are also available with a Vortec® 5.3L

V-8 “FlexFuel” Engine, which can run on a blend of ethanol and gasoline

called E85 (which is 85 percent ethanol, 15 percent gasoline),3 and they’re

available with an innovative full-time all-wheel-drive system — the first of

its kind in a full-size van.4 Savana — engineered to the highest standard:

Professional Grade.

1 Always use safety belts and the correct child restraints for your child’s age and size. Even in vehicles equipped with air bags, children are safer when properly secured in a rear seat in an appropriate infant, child or booster seat. Never place a rear-facing infant restraint in the front seat of any vehicle equipped with an active frontal air bag. See your Owner’s Manual and child safety seat instructions for more safety information. 2Five-star rating for the driver and front passengerin the Frontal Crash Test. U.S. Government star ratings are part of the National Highway Traffi c Safety Administration’s (NHTSA’s) New Car Assessment Program.(www.safercar.gov) 3Go to www.livegreengoyellow.com to see if there is an E85 station near you. 4Excludes other GM vehicles.

StabiliTrak Stability Control System with Traction Control (standard on all Savana passenger vans)

is a remarkable engineering system that helps your vehicle respond more accurately to your

steering commands. It uses sensors to read the position of your steering wheel, vehicle speed,

brake pressure, lateral acceleration and turning rate. These sensors feed data to an onboard

computer that analyzes the situation within milliseconds and makes a decision. If it determines

that your van is not responding adequately to your steering input, the computer reduces engine

torque and applies brake pressure to any individual wheel to help keep you on track. And it

includes Proactive Roll Avoidance technology to enhance your ability to maintain steering control.

STABILITRAK

If understeer occurs (right, top), StabiliTrak

applies the inside rear brake to correct

steering.

If fishtailing occurs (right, bottom), it

applies the outside front brake to correct

steering.

Unless otherwise noted, all class claims based on 2007 Full-Size Van Segment and latestcompetitive information. For information on standard and available equipment, see rear of book.

A NEW INTERIOR DESIGNED FOR COMFORT AND CONVENIENCE.For 2008, Savana features a new interior, with everything from a stylish redesigned instrument panel to

new choices in audio systems. Comfortable front bucket seats with Custom Cloth and inboard armrests are

included with LT trim (and are available with LS trim). And six-way power adjustability is available for both the

driver and front passenger seat (with LT trim). In addition, all-new head-curtain side air bags1 for the first, second

and third rows are standard on all passenger vans. It takes only milliseconds for the bags to deploy, and the air

bags can stay inflated for up to five seconds to help reduce the risk of injury in the unlikely event of a rollover.

Three-point safety belts are standard for every seating position, and the LATCH system2 (a combination of

Lower Anchorages and top Tethers for CHildren) helps to properly secure a compatible child safety seat. For the

comfort of passengers in the rear, extended wheelbase 3500 series vans and models with LT trim include rear

air conditioning.

2 Designed for use only with child restraints that have the LATCH system.

With Savana, you’re in control. An available

leather-wrapped steering wheel (right) in-

cludes audio controls at your fingertips. A

standard advanced tire pressure monitoring

system provides peace of mind. If a tire

falls below a specific pressure, the system

provides an alert on the instrument panel

so you can take the appropriate action

(does not monitor spare tire). And a new

eight-point digital compass is available,

with its readout displayed in the Driver

Information Center.

Savana offers a variety of high-quality audio

systems. For 2008, new systems include an

available AM/FM stereo with CD/MP3 player,

and an available AM/FM stereo with MP3-

compatible six-disc in-dash CD changer

(above).3 Both systems include two front

door speakers, two rear door speakers and

two speakers in the sound bar. 3 With LS trim, optional audio systems are available only when power windows and power door locks are also ordered.

YOUR CHOICE OF MODELS.

Savana vans are available in a variety of

models, so you can pick the perfect one as

a base for your conversion van. 1500 Series

models feature a combination of spacious-

ness and a standard Vortec 5.3L V-8 engine.

2500 Series vans boast a trailer weight rat-

ing of 7800 lbs.1 And 3500 Series models

are available with an extended wheelbase

for maximum room inside.

SAVANA CONVERSION VANSWith its remarkably roomy interior design, Savana is perfect for providing the

foundation for your ideal conversion van. Every model has a floor length of

over 10 feet, measured from the rear door to the front seat, so you have plenty

of room to add the seating configuration and amenities you’re looking for.

What’s more, every model features a low step-in height and rear doors that

open extra wide, making it especially convenient to get in and out of your van.

STATE-OF-THE-ART ENTERTAINMENT.

With a Savana conversion van, you can

choose accessories for entertainment

on the go. Independent suppliers are

ready to offer you everything from DVD

systems with extra-large screens (shown

above) to first-class audio systems.

1 Maximum trailer ratings are calculated assuming a base vehicle, except any options necessary to achieve the rating, plus driver. The weight of other optional equipment, passengers and cargo will reduce the maximum trailer weight your vehicle can tow. See your GMC dealer for additional details. 2Shown with equipment by an independent supplier. See “An Important Note About Conversion Vans, Alterations and Warranties” on page 8. For specification details and other available equipment, see your GMC dealer. The vehicles shown on these two pages have been altered or upfitted with equipment, bodies or components supplied to General Motors by an independent supplier. GM is not responsible for the safety or quality of design features, materials or workmanship of any alterations by such a supplier. See page 8 for more information about alterations and warranties.

For other available trailering-related equipment, talk to your dealer. You’ll need a hitch, of course, and a wide selection of hitch types is available, either from your dealer or as factory-installed equipment. In addition, if you plan to tow frequently, you should equip your van with the available trailering package. This package includes a weight-distributing hitch platform and a heavy-duty eight-wire electrical harness. Also required with this package are a hitch ball, a mounting head and possibly weight-distributing and antisway assemblies; these are available through aftermarket sources. If you have any questions about trailering with your van, before you buy, feel free to ask your dealer for a copy of the GMC Trailering Guide. Be sure to read it and use it as a guide before you hitch a trailer to your van.

IMPORTANT WORDS ABOUT THIS CATALOGWe have tried to make this catalog comprehensive and factual. We reserve the right, however, to make changes at any time, without notice, in prices, colors, materials, equipment, specifications, models and availability. Specifications, dimensions, measurements, ratings and other numbers in this catalog and other printed materials provided at the dealership or affixed to vehicles are approximates based upon design and engineering drawings and prototypes and laboratory tests. Your vehicle may differ due to variations in manufacture and equipment. Since some information may have been updated since the time of printing, please check with your GMC dealer for complete details. GMC reserves the right to lengthen or shorten the model year for any product for any reason, or to start and end model years at different times. Unless otherwise noted, all claims in this catalog are based on 2007 GM Full-Size Van Segment and the latest competitive information.

NEW VEHICLE LIMITED WARRANTYAll GMC light-duty vehicles come with a fully transferable, no-deductible 100,000-mile or 5-year (whichever comes first) Powertrain limited warranty. GM vehicles registered in the USA are also covered bumper to bumper for three years or 36,000 miles (whichever comes first). See Bumper-to-Bumper, at right. Coverage includes

tires and towing to your nearest GMC dealership. Repairs will be made to correct any vehicle defect and most warranty repairs will be made at no charge. In addition, rust-through corrosion will be covered for six years or 100,000 miles (whichever comes first). See dealer for details.

GM PROTECTION PLANThe GM Protection Plan is the only vehicle service and maintenance contract endorsed by General Motors. The GM Protection Plan offers Mechanical coverage for the parts and labor costs of repairing covered vehicle components against failure — even if it results from wear and tear. Depending on the level of coverage, additional benefits may include Roadside Assistance, Alternate Transportation or Towing. The GM Protection Plan also offers basic Maintenance coverage for specific maintenance needs. Ask your dealer about the GM Protection Plan or visit www.gmprotectionplan.com for coverage information and details.

CORROSION PROTECTIONGMC vehicles are designed and built to resist corrosion. All body and sheet metal components are warranted against rust-through corrosion for six years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. Application of additional rust-inhibiting materials is not required under the corrosion coverage and none is recommended. See your GMC dealer for terms of this limited warranty.

AN IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT CONVERSION VANS, ALTERATIONS AND WARRANTIESInstallations or alterations to the original equipment vehicle (or chassis) as distributed by General Motors are not covered by the General Motors New Vehicle Limited Warranty. The special body company, assembler, equipment installer or upfitter is solely responsible for warranties on the body or equipment and any alterations (or any effect of the alterations) to any of the parts, components, systems or assemblies installed by GM. General Motors is not responsible for the safety or quality of design features, materials or workmanship of any alterations by such suppliers.

UPDATED SERVICE INFORMATIONGMC dealers receive useful service bulletins about GMC products. You may purchase them from Helm Incorporated by calling 1-800-551-4123 or by visiting www.helminc.com.

ASSEMBLYGMC vehicles and their components are assembled or produced by different operating units of General Motors, its subsidiaries or suppliers to GM worldwide. We sometimes find it necessary to produce GMC vehicles with different or differently sourced components than originally scheduled. Since some options may be unavailable when your vehicle is assembled, we suggest that you verify that your vehicle includes the equipment you ordered or, if there are changes, that they are acceptable to you.

ENGINESGMC products are equipped with engines produced by GM Powertrain or other suppliers to GM worldwide. The engines in GMC products may also be used in other GM makes and models.

REVISIONS TO ESTIMATED FUEL ECONOMYCommencing with 2008 model year vehicles, EPA revised its methods for estimating vehicle fuel economy. The new test methods will likely lower MPG estimates as compared to 2007 and previous model year vehicles. These new methods are intended to better represent current driving styles, varying road and weather conditions and certain other external factors.
