Honduras is in Central America, below the United States.
Honduras is a bit larger than our state of Tennessee.
Honduras has coastline along the Caribbean Sea to the east and the Pacific Ocean to the west.

Population: 7.64 million
Main Languages: Spanish (official), Garifuna (spoken by blacks), several Indian languages

Religions: Roman Catholic (86%), Protestant (6%), some follow Islam, Judaism, or traditional Indian or African religions.

The Land: Honduras is mountainous except on the coasts. Forests cover much of the land. Lots of amazing, colorful birds live there, as well as many different kinds of animals: jaguars, pumas, kinkajous, anteaters, sloths, monkeys, and ocelots.
Weather: Honduras has a dry season from December through April. March and April are very hot. It’s cooler in the mountains.
Assemblies of God Facts: Fifteen U.S. Assemblies of God missionaries work in Honduras. More than 130,000 people worship in about 1,850 churches. Many pastors do not have Bible school training. Three Bible schools and 21 training programs are training more than 1,000 students.
