New Brochure describing our ministry, including our new Bridge Teams and Mother's MinistryTRANSCRIPT
“Then He said to his disciples. The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.”
~Matthew 9:37
What are Bridge Teams? Bridge teams are made up of volunteers
from local churches and organizations that desire to start their own mentoring ministry. MentorKids KY trains, oversees, helps match children with their mentors, and supplies background checks for all volunteers.
What is our Mother’s Ministry?
This is our attempt to help our mothers find encouragement and friendships with others who have gone through similar expe-riences in childrearing. MentorMoms is one part of this attempt. Our single moms are asking for a Mentor too. We need mothers to step up and offer friendship and support to our single mothers. All mothers are able to help in such a way, so please contact us if you are interested.
Become a Christian Mentor
You can make a real contribution to the next generation.
There are real needs for kids out there that are without a father or mother. Mentoring steps into their lives and gives them an instant friend and support base. So many kids don’t have someone to do something as simple as playing catch. Mentors reach out and throw the ball, and the relationships that begin are amazing.
There is cycle of fatherless homes sweeping across America and Daviess County is experiencing the same. In a 2007 report there were 5,480 single parent households in Daviess County. This produces an estimate of close to 11,000 children without both parents.
The results of fatherless homes are effecting generations of children and a mentor in the life a child is one thing that is making a difference. Mentoring matters; join us and make a difference!
