    Proof of Residency for City Residents: City residents re-ceive a lower fee for Parks and Recreation classes becausethey pay City taxes that support our programs. To receive thislower fee, City residents must provide proof of residency thefirst time they register for a Parks and Recreation class. Thisproof must show an address that matches the registrationaddress and can include: drivers license, utility bill, personalcheck, deposit slip or other proof of current address.

    PoliciesClass Fees: When two fees are listed, Santa Cruz City

    residents (R) pay the lower fee and Non-city residents (N) paythe higher, i.e. $42.00(R)/$52.00(N).

    Advance registration required for all classes. Age level indicates the age that participant must be by the first

    day of class. Refunds and Transfers: When a class is cancelled by the

    Parks and Recreation Department, a full refund will be given to

    each registrant. When a registrant withdraws from a class, thefollowing options are available:

    More than 10 business daysbefore the first class meeting:1. TRANSFER to another Parks and Recreation class.

    A $5 transfer fee is charged per registrant, per class.2. WITHDRAW with a credit to your instaReg account. A

    $5 processing fee is charged per registrant, per class.3. REFUND of class fee. A $20 refund fee is charged per

    registrant, per class. From 10 to 4 business days before the first class:

    1. TRANSFER or WITHDRAW same as above.2. REFUND of class fee IF the withdrawal does not drop

How composers color a pieceof music by using specific instruments or combinations of instru-ments is explored and led by Maestro John Larry Granger.     Louden Nelson Community Center is a multi-use and multi-generational facility in the historic 1932 Laurel School designed by WilliamWeeks in the Mission Revival Style. Closed as a school in 1973, it was reborn as Laurel Community Center in 1978 and has served ourcommunity for 30 years. The name was changed to honor Louden Nelson, a former slave who lived in Santa Cruz in the 1850's. Hands-on curriculum includes the use ofpre-kindergarten material, music, art, science, social awarenessand life skills. Bring a lunch daily labeled with their name.
