AbilitiesThere are 6 types of abilities: Life, Fury, Attack, Defense, Movement and Resistance. The rate at which these abilities increase varies by character.

The story is split into three kingdoms (Shu, Wei, Wu). First, select a Dynasty Warrior (character) from the kingdom you wish to play as. Each has their own unique weapon and ability growth potential. Select the one that best matches you!

Destroy Armed Bases in multi-player!Armed Bases make use of giant weaponry and various other means to impede your progress. Work together with your friends in ad hoc mode to take them down. Up to 4 players can play at once!

Customize your character with Chi Skills and Orbs!Chi Skills enable you to add various abilities to your character, such as lightning fast movement or the ability to float in mid-air. Orbs enable you to further customize over 250 weapons in the game. Use Chi and Orbs to make your own unique character!

Experience & Weapon CategoriesThere are a total of 6 different Weapon Categories. Each officer has an Experience level for each category and, as their experience rises, the number of consecutive attacks they can perform and the amount of weapons they can equip will increase. The rate at which their experience increases will vary by officer. Additionally, within each Weapon Category, there is a Weapon Type. For your Main Weapon, you must select a weapon of the same type. However, you may select any type for your Secondary Weapon.*For example, Liu Bei can only equip [Twin Swords]-type weapons as his main weapon.

1. Insert the DYNASTY WARRIORS: Strikeforce disc and a Memory Stick Duo™ or Memory Stick PRO Duo™.

2. Turn the system on and the opening movie will play. Once the opening movie is finished, or by pressing the START button, the game will proceed to the Title Screen.

3. Press the START button at the Title Screen to proceed to the Main Menu.

Saving & LoadingYou can save at the City Screen (P.15). Press the START button to bring up City Menu P1 and select [Save]. Each kingdom's story will be saved in its entirety and you can save up to 3 separate games. By selecting 1 kingdom for each save slot, you can enjoy the stories of all 3 kingdoms.*Saving requires at least 448KB of free space on your Memory Stick.

Select [Continue] from the Main Menu. Upon selecting a game to play, you can continue from where you last saved.

Warrior) to play as.*Each kingdom has its own story.

3. Create a profile and input your name.*The name you input here will be displayed during multi-player games. Please refrain from using sensitive information or words that could offend other players.

4. When you have finished creating your profile, the game will begin. For information on what to do next, please read "Advancing through the game".

After saving, you will be given the option of quitting the game and returning to the Title Screen. If you select [Yes], the game will end and return to the Title Screen.*If you quit the game without saving, any unsaved data will be lost.

By selecting [Options] from the Main Menu, you can adjust the game settings and install game data.

You can install a portion of the game to Memory Stick in order to shorten the game's load times. A Memory Stick with at least 280MB of free space is needed to install the game data.

*In order to use the install function, you must have both a Memory Stick and the DYNASTY WARRIORS: Strikeforce disc inserted in your system.

Function

In order to use the install function, select [Options] - [Settings] from the Main Menu and turn the [Install] setting to [On].*While loading the installed data, the Memory Stick Duo access lamp will f lash. Do not remove the Memory Stick during this time.

*While using the install function, if the loading of the installed data fails for any reason, an error message will be displayed and the install function will automatically turn off. If this occurs, follow the directions in the error message, then try repeating the previous steps.

Under [Options] in the Main Menu, choose the [Install] option. Follow the on-screen directions in order to install the game.*Do not remove the Memory Stick or turn off the power while the game data is being installed.

*It may take some time to complete the installation. Please make sure that you have enough battery power or that you have plugged in the AC adaptor.

Within the city, you can change your equipment and purchase items. Pressing the START button will open the City Menu. From City Menu P2, select [Multiplayer] and a City number to connect to an online city.

By completing Battle Quests, you will advance through the story.Story

Progression

A city that allows up to 4 players to connect for multiplayer. You can undertake quests together with the other players.

Battle

After choosing a quest, you will be taken to the Ready Screen. Select [Begin] to start the battle. Enter the battle and attempt to fulfill its victory conditions.

There are two types of quests: Requests and Battle Quests. You can receive quests from the

City's [Noticeboard] or [Gatekeeper]. By completing a number of Requests, you will be able to receive a Battle Quest. Once you have accepted a quest, you will proceed to battle. By completing the battle's victory conditions, you can receive a reward or experience points.

Online City

The story will progress as you complete Battle Quests. There are multiple Battle Quests per chapter and, by clearing all of them, you can advance to the next chapter. The quests you can receive vary by chapter. By selecting [Map] from City Menu P1, you can return to previously cleared chapters and replay any quests that you have already completed.

By using the facilities within the City, you can obtain weapons and items or accept quests. Additionally, you can switch between single and multiplayer games. When you approach people or signs, a target cursor will appear. Press the s button to talk to people or read signs.

Legends View [Legends] quests that you can play.

Movies View movies that you have already seen within the game.

Viewing the Battle Screen

By pressing the START button, the Battle Menu will be displayed. If you select [Pause], you can exit the battle. You cannot exit a battle during multiplayer.

Lock on MarkerThis is displayed when you lock on to an enemy. The compatibility between your weapon and the enemy will be displayed by color. The better the compatibility, the more damage you can inf l ict (Blue > Green > Yellow > Orange > Red).

When this is empty, you will die. Depending on the quest, you may be revived numerous times.

Fury GaugeWhen the gauge is full, you will be able to en ter Fur y Mode. The gauge will fill as you attack enemies or take damage.

your Team Gauge.c If the time limit expires, the side with more of their Team
